OT: Sorry for my cynicism, I just read up on why Rett Syndrom was removed from the DSM. Basically, because it has a known cause (mutation/damage of a specific gene), it no longer belonged, according to the APA working group. Is psychiatry then a sort of "Science of the Gaps"?
