I don't know, but there are natural cures

Like diluted Apple cider vinegar for heartburn,
Wheat can cause heartburn

What medication doesn't have potential side effects?

I take Nexium everyday to combat the acid reflux caused by Concerta.

I'll take my chances.

Some of it harmful to kidneys if you take often enough.

If you take once in a while you're fine.

Ginger root is the best thing I've found for heartburn. There are several other things out there that work. Just takes a simple Google search for natural acid reflux remedies to find them.

Also, being overweight is the biggest cause of acid reflux. So losing the weight is the best way to actually go about curing it.
