Utah County Republican: Illegal Immigration is Work of the Devil

(KSL News) A Utah County Republican delegate says illegal immigration is the work of the devil.

The Deseret Morning News reports district chairman Don Larsen submitted a resolution equating illegal immigration to "Satan's plan to destroy the U.S. by stealth invasion."

The resolution calls for the Utah County Republican Party to support the closing of national borders to prevent the invasion. It was the only such proposal submitted before the deadline at Saturday's Utah County Republican Convention.

Senate Majority Leader Curt Bramble says it could be debated, though it's not likely many Republicans would support the claims. At best, he says, it would spark discussion about the immigration issue.

Here's what I posted in the news story discussion board (this is in response to someone saying the original assertion was ridiculous, since there are better things for Satan to destroy the U.S. with):

I'm pretty sure he could ask one of the Egyptian gods for a warm of locusts to sweep the country. Much more effective than sending random people from the Middle East in 30 by 30.
