The real GOP conservatives are officially congratulating Hillary for winning the presidency after Trump's triumphant rise to the GOP nomination last night.

The real GOP conservatives are now threatening to split the GOP into separate parties if the RNC "gives" Trump the nomination at the convention.

Many GOP registered voters are now de-registering in protest over the RNC's lackluster response to Trump.

The real GOP members are feeling betrayed by the voters who elected Trump to the nomination.

Though the question remains if Hillary and her allies were the reason for Trump's huge rise to power in the GOP this primary season and/or Sanders and his allies did it in hopes of Trump defeating Hillary to explain Trump.

I mean it's unprecedented for Republicans and Republican voters to rebel against the party leadership.

As the old saying goes "Republicans fall in line, Democrats fall in love!"

Trump & Sanders are fueled by people who are fed up with a declining standard of living.

European-socialism seems inevitable.

That's not true.

it really depends on what data you use and how you calculate it.

There is plenty of studies and research that show American standard of living is rising
There is plenty of studies and research that show American standard of living is stagnant
There is plenty of studies and research that show American standard of living is declining
There is plenty of studies and research that show American standard of living is unchanged
There is plenty of studies and research that show American standard of living is the worst in the world

It all depends on who you ask.

There is no "real GOP conservatives", people like Glenn Beck and George Will might want you to think that there is this mass movement against Trump but Trump is by far the most popular figure in the Republican party at this moment and polls bare this out. The voters rejected the pundits, the media, the think tanks, 'the ideological bodyguard of the establishment', it doesn't matter how much money and how many negative ads they run they can't control the people who have grown to despise them. The anti-Trump money will dry up, either these few billionaires will get in line or they'll go support Hillary which good riddance in that case because they do not have the best interests of the United States at heart. The neoconservatives(not 'real GOP conservatives' by any stretch) may side with Hillary as she supports a neoconservative foreign policy but the amount of people ideologically dedicated to neoconservative ideas is minuscule albeit loud. This will be more the offset by the amount of new people(independents, Democrats, people that have never voted) so goodbye to the dead weight. It'll be a bigger happier party without them.

Both Hillary and Trump are now channeling Bernie Sanders...

Hillary could still end up losing to Trump. She comes with more baggage than Trump does. Trump is also talking, like Bernie, about bringing jobs back to America. Which has become a big issue in this election cycle. Voters just might go with the non-establishment crazy, orange, ferret headed, narcissist over the wicked witch of wall street.

Jane Sanders much like her Husband stole Obama's talking points and claim they are their own.

Sanders and Hillary have almost identical voting record in the U.S. Senate.
The few differences are Iraq (Sanders voted against it), Gun control (Sanders voted against every gun control bill that has come to U.S. Senate in his term), and rebuilding funds for NYC post 9/11 (Sanders though the state should foot the bill).

Hillary might have connections to Wall Street...
Sanders has been in the pocket of the NRA and gun manufacturers (they have funded all of his U.S. Senate campaigns and his primary run).

Anyone who has NRA and the gun manufacturers funding their campaign is the worst kind of candidate.
Sanders is big supporter of the NRA and Gun manufacturers as I pointed out above, since he voted against all gun control while he has been in the U.S. Senate.

The latest poll shows 54% of the voters want Clinton and 41% want Trump when it is Clinton VS. Trump.
All polling with Sanders, stopped due to him being essentially mathematically eliminated (he needs 95% of the remaining delegates).

Trump is just pivoting now, that is why stopped sounding like Sanders and started sounding like Hillary today.
Trump's company is still buying all their stuff from China and using illegal immigrants.

But Trump is stupid to pivot to the center, because he will lose his GOP voting base doing so.

Straight up B.S. . Sanders has had the same talking points pretty much his whole career. All you have to do is look at old videos of him to see that what you are saying here is pure nonsense.

Corporate media is biased bullsh*t. They are about as trustworthy as Kim Jong-un. Don't get your information from them!

Hillary Clinton is bought and owned by wall street, big oil and corporate media just to name a few. It seems that everyone but a Clinton supporter knows this to be true...

I can't find any trustworthy data on your claims of Bernie being supported by the NRA. I'll keep looking, or if you happen upon an actual reliable source I'd be willing to take a look at it. :P

Trump still sounds like Bernie, not Hillary. If he even hints at sounding like Hillary he will lose voters in mass.

Hell Trump is even going to use Bernie's attacks against her if she becomes the democratic nominee. http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop- ... ial-222520

On a side note. Donald Trump is scary trying to sound all presidential. It comes off as phony when he isn't talking to you like you're a 4 year old. :o

I've read that if Hillary pivots too far to right now she will come off as being disingenuous and lose voters. I think they both have clear problems in this area.

This is where it becomes problematic. Hillary and Trump are both liars, and as crooked as the day is long. They are both the most disliked candidates in any presidential race ever. If they do end up running against each other it will be an all time low in American politics.

That's a sad state of affairs for America. Either way we lose...

New survey just in shows Trump supporters are viewed as the most aggressive online. Even 35% of Trump supporters agree that they are.

Quote:
Overall 57% of those surveyed said they think Trump supporters are the most aggressive when it comes to attacking other people based on their political opinions, compared to 30% for Clinton supporters, 21% for Cruz supporters, 16% for Sanders supporters, and 8% for Kasich supporters. Tellingly, 35% of Trump supporters agreed that they are the most aggressive or threatening online.

Quote:
Neither a ‘gun-lobby lapdog’ nor an ‘anti-gunner’

The Clinton campaign also noted that the NRA helped elect Sanders to the House of Representatives in 1990. While it’s true that Sanders and the gun lobby were on the same side in that election, their alignment was temporary.

The NRA backed Republican incumbent Peter Smith in his 1988 race against Sanders. But Smith didn’t stick to his guns and came out in favor of an assault weapons ban after he won.

Feeling betrayed, the gun group spent $18,000 attacking the incumbent in 1990 and issued bumper stickers emblazoned with images of Smith as Pinocchio and "Dump Pete Smith," Garrison Nelson, a professor of state politics at the University of Vermont previously told PolitiFact.

Paul Blackman, a former NRA research associate, told us in 2015 that while Sanders wasn’t exactly pro-gun and the NRA wasn’t explicitly pro-Sanders, he seemed like the lesser of two evils.

It seems that Bernie isn't the NRA's b*tch after all. They certainly aren't funding him heavily, if they are even funding him at all.

If you can post up some evidence to show how heavily the NRA is funding Bernie, please do. I'll have a look at it. :P

I keep hearing how Trump is not electable and the GOP is giving away the presidency by nominating him, but then I realize the people who say this are the same people who were laughing off Trump last year...

Just between you and me he's going to win too, Mr. D, I can feel it in my bones! That is if he doesn't get assassinated first.

I'm not surprised given how they attack people at rallies, give Nazi salutes, are offended at the slightest criticism towards him, attack others solely for not supporting Trump, etc.

The list goes on and on why he is a terrible person and the majority of his supporters are too.

Unlikely:

A fresh poll from Gallup (N=1,544):

Image

Source: http://www.gallup.com/poll/191354/ameri ... aign=tiles

Only 35 percent of Americans have a favourable opinion of socialism, while 60 percent have a favourable opinion of capitalism. Both are virtually constant compared to six years ago.

This is the kind of harsh reality that Sanders would have been confronted with had he won the Democratic nomination.
