Tonight the results are reporting on the Pennsylvania (PA), Connecticut (CT), Delaware (DE), Maryland (MD), and Rhode Island (RI).

Both Trump and Clinton are expected to sweep all 5 states "sealing the deal"!

Right now Trump has won PA, CT, RI, and MD currently.
Clinton has so far blown Sanders out in Maryland (MD)

The are 464 Democratic delegates up for grabs tonight and 172 Republican delegates.

Hillary takes DE by at least 60%, MD by same margins.

Trump won over 60%+ in each of the primaries.

The Guardian (UK publication) made this joke moments ago.

Quote:
"If Senator Sanders doesn't agree with your position, you're a member of the establishment"

Bernie eeks out a win in RI, selfishly running Clinton's sweep.

Bernie side has responded with corruption claims over tonight's loses.

Trump will get the 'magic number'

he will win Indiana too

hahaha Cruz is in 3rd in 4 of the 5 states and only up by small margin on Kasich in Pennsylvania, Ted's cooked!

Clean sweep is nice but not only that but Trump is now winning near 60% of the vote, it's over!

Trump wins, he will be the nominee and there is nothing the establishment can do to stop it besides taking their ball and going home

they're showing their true colors, the neocons and corporate shills are siding with Hillary

any Sanders supporter should support Trump over Hillary

The polls are close in IN, but anything can happen next week.

Cruz and Sanders are screaming corruption.

Trump is roughly about 300 delegates away. California is winner take all with 172 delegates, Trump is touching 50% in California. New Jersey is 51 delegates winner take all, Trump will win New Jersey. So that leaves Trump about ~100 or less delegates short. Indiana is 57 delegates WTA, Trump is leading polls there but the the establishment is going all out to stop Trump there. Nebraska is WTA with 36 delegates, West Virginia is a odd state delegate wise but Trump will dominate the popular vote Oregon and Washington are proportional but Washington has a cut off under 20% so Cruz and Kasich would need more than 20% to get any delegates so Trump should probably pick up at least 20 delegates from each state. Montana 27 delegates WTA, South Dakota 29 delegates WTA, New Mexico is proportional with 24 delegates. There is I think about ~200 or so unbound delegates as well, Trump won't get shut out. Trump wins, he is the prohibitive nominee, Trump will win on the first ballot despite all the dirty tricks and attempted delegate stacking by the establishment, time for the Republicans to fall in line or get the hell out.

The GOP establishment has been planning all this time to deny Trump the nomination even if he wins the delegates.
There are delegates who are refusing to vote for Trump despite being allotted to him.

Delegate count doesn't mean Trump is going be allowed to have the nomination.

Trump suggested Bernie run as an independent because of all the corruption.

There isn't any real corruption in any of the states or Cruz and Jeb would be neck and neck for the nomination.

Trump should not be taken seriously on anything.

There is word out tonight from the Bernie campaign that the only reason he ran because he is still upset that Obama won in 2008.
He had originally planned to run for President in 2008 to stop Obama's election.

That is what media outlets are reporting tonight.

It's no big secret that Bernie hates Obama too.

they are bound, they do not have a choice

Trump will get the 'magic number' before the convention, it will not be contested.

Sanders should run 3rd party if he cares about his beliefs and is actually independent of the DNC, Hillary is no different than the establishment of the Republican party and this two party system needs to be smashed once and for all. Trump is the catalyst, Sanders supporters need to understand that ONLY thru Trump overthrowing the political order and special interests will a candidate like Sanders be allowed to win. Hillary wins and it's back to business as usual, this is Bernie's coalition's one shot.

Actually the RNC is not bound by law to accept the primary results.
Technically the DNC isn't either, but they have always accepted the outcome.

The U.S. has always had a two party system since 1792.
First it was the Federalist and Democratic-Republicans
Then it was the Democratic-Republicans and whigs
Then it was the Jacksonian Democrats and Licolnian Republicans
Then it was Big Business GOP and Wilsonian Democrats
Then it was FDR Democrats and Hoover GOP.
Then it was JFK/LBJ Democrats and Nixon GOP
Then it was Regan GOP and JFK/LBJ Democrats
Then it was Reagan GOP and Clinton Democrats
Then it was Bush GOP and Obama Democrats.

Obama fundamentally altered the Democrats and pushed them significantly to the Left.
Democrats thank to Obama and his policies are now seen by 40%+ of the U.S. Population as Far Left, Commies and Socialist.
That compared to the GOP who are seen as religious conservatives, who are owned by the rich and corporations.
The two parties are fundamentally different at the core, with Democrats being forced to appeal to the center in order to be elected.
Every time since 1980 when the Democrats and others have tried to do anything seen as "left", the American public punished them in the polls.

The reason why the GOP has a majority in both houses of congress and the majority of states is due to healthcare reform and corporate regulation.

The Democrats will probably win a majority in both houses maybe even a super majority in November.
They will push social and economic reforms that will benefit the middle and lower classes, but the "hurt" the rich and powerful.

The American people will respond by voting the Democrats in Congress out no matter how good the voters benefit from the reforms and purposely elect a split government blaming the Democrats for the government's inability to do anything.

The GOP is likely to split down the middle thanks to Trump and whatever happens to him.
So we should have Three parties by the end of the year.

Also for the love of god people pick up a U.S. history book and read why the founding fathers designed the current constitution and system to avoid multiparty Westminster style political system.

Founding fathers literally feared a multiparty system would cater to the whim of the majority and destroy union.
They designed the system to support two party system or no parties to prevent the Federal Government from experience wild swings of the public mood.
The U.S. system is designed purposely to keep it centrist and balanced.
That is why it is very hard to move the U.S. system in either direction because it requires practical unity of the voters to force it.
The founding fathers made damn sure to get any major done it would literally take the full backing of the people, so no one side could run rough shoot over the other.
The founding fathers though having a gridlocked government was better than a tyrannical majority calling the shots.

The U.S. has widely been spared the wild swings of the rest of the world has seen over the past 210 years.
The U.S. has also remained relatively centered in the middle of the political spectrum while the rest of the world has been moving all over the map (The world appreciates it).

The system sometimes screws up, but nothing works perfectly.
