How many Aspies will be victims of this "childless tax?

Interesting article I found. I wonder how many Aspies, especially male ones who are going to get into economical trouble because they don't want to have anything to do with other people?

That's somewhat sickening. If someone doesn't want a child, there's a good chance they wouldnt be able to look after it. The two things seem to go as one. Demonising people for being mature and not having children they couldnt look after seems incredibly stupid.

Why are people so worried about those who don't have children? So many parents shouldn't have children, and the world is overpopulated. Having less children and planting more trees would help this whole global warming thing, too.

This world will soon be deplete of humanity if we allow singles to exist, since the population is at an all-time low.

Ask yourself this question:
Would you rather have children and the expense of raising them and have less taxes to pay?

Or

Would you rather be childless and not have to bear the huge expense of raising them and pay more in taxes?

I sure as Hell hope they don't try to pull this kind of s**t here in the U.S. If they do, expect to see/hear me as being the first one to fire gunshots in protest. And no. That gun won't be aimed in the air. I think it's time the U.S. had another revolution, really. The current system of government is broken, I feel like, but that's besides the point. I just hope they don't try to push this s**t down the throat of Americans. I feel bad for the rest of the world that this is happening.

People should only have kids if they can afford to look after them properly. Obviously the state has to help financially in some circumstances, but I think this should be on a sliding scale. Quite a steeply-sliding scale, as it happens. Such as 100% aid for the first born, 50% for the second and no state aid whatsoever thereafter.

That way the state is funding the status quo, not encouraging further population growth, but not penalising those who want kids but have a low income. Also not taxing non-parents unnecessarily.
It might encourage some of the welfare scroungers to think twice about breeding a multiplicity of kids, too. And before anyone has a go about 'assumptions' and 'stereotyping' let me tell you that I once went out with a girl who was the oldest of seven kids, all brought up on benefits and exchange-and-barter. It's a whole different world, and quite interesting in many ways, but not something I wish to subsidise through my hard work.

I made up my mind when I was 4 that I didn't want to be a mother. I haven't changed it since. I won't get married either because it is my goal in life to avoid all forms of humaninty.

Being a parent isn't really a option for me even if I wanted kids. A single male can't make a baby.

Actually in several Western countries they are saying we are having a shortage of people. The US is one, France and England are others according to several recent stories on NPR. It's said illegal aliens will get to stay in the US because the only race that is reproducing enough to please the powers that be are the Mexicans. But what is so great about creating a nation of undereducated people willing to work minimum wage jobs?

Still childless people should not be punished. Infertility is a huge problem in part because of American industrial waste. Also who the hell would want Aspies making babies because it will just create more autistics to go onto the SSDI rolls. Some people don't have kids for good reasons. I do not plan on having a child because I will not risk having an Aspie monster child like some on here post about having.
