Sanders wrote:
“pays its workers [at the park] so low that many are forced to live in motels because they can’t afford a decent place to live.” He contrasted that with Disney’s “record-breaking profit of nearly $3 billion last quarter (This was due to Star Wars Episode VII).”

Sanders also accused Disney of firing American workers and outsourcing their jobs.

Disney CEO wrote:
“To Bernie Sanders: We created 11,000 new jobs at Disneyland in the past decade, and our company has created 18,000 in the US in the last five years. How many jobs have you created? What have you contributed to the US economy?”

Disney also said “Sanders clearly doesn’t have his facts right" and “generates more than $5.7 billion annually for the local economy.” It’s the area’s largest employer, the rep said, having added “more than 11,000 jobs over the last decade, a 65% increase." and that the Stars Wars themed land will see Disney inject another $1 Billion into the local economy.

Disney is vowing to make sure the record reflects the truth and they will fight this to the bitter end.

Bob Iger only cares about his billions and what franchise he will milk next. If things were different there wouldn't be their biggest park in Shanghai China to stuff cheap labor in.

I'm sure there are quite a few billionaires who hate Bernie right now and want nothing more than for him to go away so they can keep up the status quo here in America. Not like this is really news at all. Just more Bernie bashing...

The article says, "Sander accuses Disney of paying its workers too low".

Oddly, Sanders appears to cite no evidence to back up his claim.

Sanders needs to spell out what they are paid, and what is "too low".

Bernie believes workers deserve a living wage, and he is correct.
