It was a murder suicide, a student killed a professor.

This was the student, Mainkar Sarkar

we'll probably never hear about this again for obvious reasons

NN is milking this for all it's worth.

I don't know what "obvious reasons" you are citing, but they sound 'conspiratorial' to me.

There is nothing conspiratorial about the way media narratives are driven. CNN is one of the worst ones at it altho they are also the most sensational and tabloid like of our cable media.

Not mentioned at all on MSNBC, Huffington Post, Salon, Slate, Gawker, NY Times, and I could probably could go on.

I am not the only one that notices it by a long stretch.

I don't know if you know what twitter is but this is where you can see this narrative driven in real time, it is disgusting the way people act on there.

I know what Twitter is, and I know the kind of people who take it seriously - that's why I don't use it. There are far too many ignorant conspiracy nuts on Twitter to make it useful for me.

it's a 140 characters so not really that, more just the absolute worst in people's prejudice

if you could look up the live reaction yesterday you would see a stark change from when people didn't know who the shooter was(but didn't stop them from trying to push their own narrative) and how quiet it went once they did. Now of course I'm not the only one that notices this so you have many people pointing out the hypocrisy and prejudice

More CNN coverage: Gunman identified. He had a "kill list".

Quote:
Police found a "kill list" at the Minnesota home of the gunman who opened fire at UCLA on Wednesday, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck told CNN affiliate KTLA. The name of the UCLA professor killed by the gunman was on the list, as was the name of another woman who police later found dead.
An alleged dispute over intellectual property somehow motivated gunman Mainak Sarkar to kill the professor, himself, and a woman in Minnesota. Police found a "kill list" at the Minnesota home of the gunman. The names of two other people are on the gunman's "kill list".

Well at least it isn't a dozen disabled kids this time like San Bernardino last year.

And the progressive sorts wonder why conservatives and neutrals of every stripe are starting to double down and view non assimilated Muslims with the hairy eye. It's not like these people are the Ambassadors of "Trust IN Islam " campaign.
