Time to party like it's 1999...oh wait, too soon?

I remember growing up with my copy of the Batman soundtrack on cassette tape. That was the only Prince album my parents would let me own at the time, thanks to the words a certain wife of a certain ex-vice president.

Now Prince will be waiting for Tipper Gore in Hell. Their reunion will be awesome.

This guy knew his way around a fret board! Gone way too soon! Sad!

A genuine musical genius who was with us for too brief a time.

Oh my goodness, what a loss to the music world. This is probably the biggest one of the year. I loved his music. "1999," "Kiss," "Little Red Corvette," "Raspberry Beret," "Let's Go Crazy," "Pop Life." He will be dearly missed in the world of music and my condolences go out to his family, friends and millions of other fans. He can now party like it's 1999 up in the skies. RIP Prince!

Kudos to MTV for quitting the god-awful reality fest and going to Prince music videos. Now if only they were still music videos 24/7 with the VJs.

TMZ is reporting that Prince was treated for a drug overdose 6 days before his death. Now Coast to Coast said they have info that Prince was given a shot at the hospital to counteract opiates (poss narcan?). Autopsy is scheduled. If it's true, that would be a true loss.

The flu thing didn't really make much sense so there must be more to the death than is being reported, what a man we have lost so soon after bowie though! Hopefully he has more records in his fabled vault we can listen to over our lifetimes!

I dunno... thousands of people a year die from the flu. If he had been sick prior to that, his immune system might have been compromised.

Coast to Coast said he did have other unpublished songs, but were not told if these would ever become available to the public.

It is said that he had a drug overdose a few days earlier.

It's a pity the guy had to die so young.
