Earlier this week Trump jokingly said he'd debate Bernie before the June 7th primaries on Jimmy Kimmel.

Sanders responded today on his official Twitter account accepted Trump.

There's no guarantee Trump will take Sanders seriously and schedule a debate with him, but Sanders is trying to pressure Trump into doing it for real.

Though if Trump debates Sanders, it will be the kiss of political death for Sanders since every politician that has debated him this primary season has been knocked out of the politics for good.

It would be a good move for Trump. He will go relatively easy on Sanders and they will tag team Hillary and it will give Sanders stature both will already hurt the already unpopular presumtive nominee Hillary. If Sanders wins California it will really cripple Hillary politically by increasing the chance of a chaotic Dem convention or making it much more chaotic then it was going to be. I never understood why Sanders is thought to not be able to win Jerry Brown's state location of Berkley and Hollywierd.

It gives Trump an opportunity test anti Hillary themes in a debate setting. It is a chance to impress Sanders voters who will be to put mildly will be disenchanted when most likely Hillary is nominated. Even if Hillary is somehow not nominated it won't be Sanders who is not a loyal democrat by any stretch of the imagination never mind a socialist. The proceding also describes Trump's loyalty to the Republicans but the party was dragged and forced to accept him kicking and screaming as thier nominee by thier own members. Such is not the case with Sanders.

That's what I was thinking. Trump can say what Bernie can't because he has too much restraint. It might also help to define their platforms, since they frankly have a lot in common and then they can specifically state where they disagree.

Plus, it would be Doc Brown versus Biff Tannen! Too bad Marco Rubio is out of the race. He could play Marty.

Debating Sanders will not serve any political purpose for Trump. He is already the GOP nominated candidate, no amount of last minute political maneuvers from the GOP establishment will change that. Sanders has little chance of winning California, which is why Clinton will not debate him, it will not help her. Sanders has little chance of winning the nomination, no matter how many devoted college students come out and vote for him.

Sanders isn't pressuring Trump to do jack sh*t. Get your god damn facts straight!

Sander would mop the floor with Trump in a debate. It wouldn't be no kiss of death. I mean seriously, Sanders has been written off for several months now. You can't kill a, supposedly already, dead campaign...

This idea has been floating around for a couple days now. I saw it on YouTube news that I watch. In fact the channel I watch has asked to host the debate, not that they will, most likely Fox will. Though most likely Trump will back out of the debate and it will never happen. Trump is already setting up conditions for the debate to even happen:

Trump has officially stated Sanders must put up $10 Million to a Women's charity of Trump choosing.

Trump says he has other demands as well that Sanders must give, in order to make this a fair debate.

We officially know why it didn't happen.

Trump has tight schedule now, to bother debating a "non -entity" as far as the race goes.

The only thing the two really have in common is patriotism, manifesting left and right.
Bern is too communistic economically to ever be chummy. Trump has an underdog vibe from him and appreciates the hard fight for his supporters. He recognizes him for being less establishment.

I mean trying to woo Bern supporters that are Independents and Libertarians would be only good part to a debate. But Trump's bombastic rhetorical Twitteresque speaking platform would send most crying to safe spaces.

As Trump said in his youth when asked if he would become a politician "I don't know if I'd like that. I'd don't think I'd like that, no. Dirty business. Dirty." He keeps a tough stance to get the bread and butter base. Domestically he is really a progressive and reformist.
