It doesn't say if those people surveyed intended to use it for physical activity or not though...I'd imagine if that wasn't at all their purpose that makes sense. As once the initial craze of 'Oh this is such a cool, fun, new game' wears off they'll probably decrease the amount they are playing. I think if a person makes a point to use that as a physical activity aid then I don't think the same kind of decrease would be seen...but a lot of people only really play for fun, whilst some people still find it a good way to get out get some exercise whilst having a bit more fun than just walking.

Also that is only 520 people out of the millions who downloaded the game.

I mostly play it on the bus or wherever else there's wifi because it's a real data hog. Unfortunately, Niantic have taken their war on vehicle players to a whole new level by softbanning users from using stops if they go over a certain speed, passenger or not.

I honestly doubt very many people used Pokemon Go to have it be a physical activity. It seems kind of stupid for them to call it a fad in the first place. Article feels like clickbait to me. Forbes with their nonsense articles.

Haters gonna hate.

I lost 40 lbs, and haven't changed my diet a whole lot. I walk about 45 mins/day. Finally got cleared to mix in some free weights (back issues).

Outside more. Made new friends. It's something I can do with my 12 year old daughter and her friends. My husband will even walk with us. He never really did that before.

It's 10F here today. Walked for 20 minutes and caught a holiday Pikachu and a Ditto.

This NYE we are having a Pokémon Go pub/restaurant crawl. There is a small town loaded with stops, so we'll play, eat, run around, go home to toast the New Year.

I like birding and hiking, so this isn't much different from that.
