What if someone had treated Ivanka in the way Ailes allegedly behaved? His reply was startling, even by Trumpian standards. “I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” he said.

This one I'm not familiar with, but before I clicked it, I wondered if the harassment was from the top. And it is.

It's unfortunate, but Trump is correct here. It is practical advice. There really isn't much you can do about workplace harassment or bullying if it's coming from the top. If it's not from the top you can go to the top, but if it's from the top, unless you can prove it, what the hell can you do? You just have to get the f**k out of there. Or put up with it. The progressives aren't going to like hearing it, I certainly don't like it, but does anyone have any better advice? I'd love to hear it.

If many people are getting harassed by the same person, they can start a class-action suit; in this case, there would be much corroborating evidence.

If the person is alone, this would be much more difficult.

I think he took the question too literally (or specifically?), and didn't intend his answer to be generalized to include all women. He's only new at politics.
