Ugh. I want a President who is actually in touch with reality, instead of trying to pander to pseudoscientists:

Anthropogenic global warming is a real problem and it is crucial that our leaders accept that and work to combat it.

Trump will pander to any group just for that attention they give him. If they somehow don't give him enough attention- he will likely change his mind about what he said.

He's good at gaslighting and conning people. I hope many of his supporters wake up and realize this before election time.

Mr. Trump should listen to real scientists instead of his own ego.

I don't have much confidence in "real scientists".

I think they'll change their tune fast, if they could lose their funding.

Trump could go to them and say, "Well, you've proven global warming, great work, so no need to keep funding you for something we already know".

Their likely response would be: "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Wait, Wait, Wait .. we can't be certain .. obviously additional research is needed .. this is just a hypothesis ... let's not jump to conclusions now".

I don't believe in anthropogenic climate change, but I also agree with you that :jester: Trump is merely pandering to what he thinks will get him votes. He won't get mine nor should he get the vote of any decent American.

As opposed to scientists working for big oil, whose findings are predetermined to support their employer's agenda? Or pseudoscientists like Ken Ham and his sideshow Noah's Ark? Or scientifically illiterate crackers in congress who bring a snowball to the senate floor to demonstrate how global warming is a hoax, or who call evolution a lie from the pit of Hell?

Don't blame Trump - Classic lines from the conservative manifesto

- guns make us safe
- the bible is the literal word of god
- vaccines cause autism
- Muslims are terrorists
- Mexicans are taking our jobs
- global warming is a conspiracy

hardly surprising...
