They are still in full blown denial mode. If they really want to stop Trump it is long past time to give a lot of money to the Clinton Foundation/campaign, that is the only possible way left. And they need to start preparing resumes in case Trump Wins. All the conventional wisdom says he is imploding, this time he has gone too far as all conventional wisdom has been saying for over a year. Why in hell would a narcissist stop doing what is pushing all other news to the background to cover, debate him? If they try to assasinate him it will be Watergate 2 in the sense they are so incompetent it will be traced back to them right away.

Taking the nomination from Trump? In the words of Carole King "It's too late baby, now it's too late"

<--- Wonders who would be an apt replacement for Brother Donald. Paul Ryan? Mitch McConnell? John McCain?

This guy would probably be a better president than Trump:

Newt Says Trump Is 'Unacceptable' VP finalist says neither candidate is acceptable "right now".

Trump is not doing anything different now then he has done the whole campaign when Gingrich was supporting/defending/excusing him. I guess they really thought he was going to become a conventional politician in the general election, that he is really one of them. I and lot of other people figured this out back in January, how come all these NT's with thier supposed Theory of Mind/Cognitive empathy abilities could not figure this out?

He'd certainly be the most "buff" we've had-- I wouldn't mess with Carrot Top, dude's in really good shape.

The notion of Trump dropping out and being replaced by someone sane is nonsensical. The Republicans made their bed, now they need to lay in it.

If they have half a brain they will select out Paul Ryan and be quiet about it. He can and does work both sides. Not many of the other well-known people would be accepted.

They shouldn't be talking about this plan in the first place.

The Rump should have considered running for Mayor of NYC first so he could get the experience.

Like many who have said this, Trump's campaign IMO, has been nothing more than an ego trip for him since the start.

God forbid, being mayor of New York would have gotten in the way of hosting The Apprentice! And he'd have to have gotten things done, beyond just slapping his name on someone else' building.
