I'd like to think Trump's victory was revenge of the expats. More people voted for Trump than the polls showed, so some of those numbers might have been expats angry about FATCA and citizenship-based taxation, both of which the Republican platform calls for repealing.

No, Mr. Manchin, we can't just leave, as all the evidence in this thread shows. But of course, as ever, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing, and trying to talk to members of Congress, especially Democratic members, about expat tax issues is like trying to talk to a brick wall.
I am so tired of cliches in this country's degenerate politics. It's so ridiculous that with our uniquely cash-sucking tax policies we can't have things like decent public transit and truly universal health care.
