I liked the message, but I didn't like the venue. Cast members should not single out audience members for a lecture. Pence stopped at the door and listened, which was polite. But I think the cast were out of line. Pence was there with his family. And people shouldn't have booed him either. Not the time or the place.

In the past I would have agreed with you, but our new leader has redefined what is "appropriate" by what he does.

Copying his behavior only validates it.

Yes, I observe lots of people copying his behavior. Guess we just have to deal with the new reality.

Just because Pence was gracious as the offended party, doesn't mean Trump or anyone else shouldn't call them out on it.

have you seen the cast's request? it wasn't really insulting, except for questioning if all people would be protected by the trump admin. given pence's okay of gay conversion therapy (electric shock anyone?) and trump proposing registries and grabbing p*****s, it was a fair question. most of the speech was welcoming.

So after hearing this claim about Pence for the umpteenth time, I searched it and the first thing that came up was Snopes.

"Mike Pence once supported the use of federal funding to treat people "seeking to change their sexual behavior."

"Pence never stated that he supported the use of electric shocks or "gay conversion" therapy.""

http://www.snopes.com/mike-pence-suppor ... n-therapy/

This of course gets twisted by leftists as him wanting gay's to be forced against their will and tortured.

The more I look, the more lies I see that the leftists buy into hook, line and sinker.

People need to examine what they're being told, rather than believing everything they hear and helping spread lies.

VPE Pence approved FEDERAL FUNDING of Conversion Therapy, if people WANTED it----that doesn't mean it was MANDATED!!

It is amazing how many people seemingly enjoy being led-around by a brass ring through their nose.

You don't get it, do you?

Approving funding of it is still horrible. Conversion therapy is something anti-LGBT people are for. Also I think its pretty clear parents are forcing their kids to do it! Thats not only child abuse, but its just sick. People have the right to be gay or trans if they want, period. So sickening how the world has become just because people arent straight.

So people shouldn't be allowed to change their orientation? Isn't that like saying people shouldn't be allowed to change their gender?

Once again: ""Mike Pence once supported the use of federal funding to treat people "seeking to change their sexual behavior." "Pence never stated that he supported the use of electric shocks or "gay conversion" therapy.""

http://www.snopes.com/mike-pence-suppor ... n-therapy/

But hey, they all need to be viewed as monsters and that's what we needs to be stuck to, right?

People can change their orientation if they want. But my above point STILL stands- conversion therapy is child abuse. Parents are forcing their kids to do it! Do you really think Pence is ignorant about what conversion therapy is? I doubt he just agreed to something that is anti-LGBT just for the hell of it.

Also look up Mike Pence, this isnt the only bad thing he has supported over the years. It's clear he is anti-LGBT (just like most of Trump's friends and people he has hired).

Here's an article about Pence from earlier in the year- http://time.com/4406337/mike-pence-gay- ... s-freedom/

I doubt he's changed his views since that article was published.

Here's a more recent story on Pence: http://www.businessinsider.com/mike-pen ... ng-2016-11 (something very interesting in this article- Pence claimed smoking didn't kill. He was likely paid by big tobacco to say this)

I don't see it really being any different than sexual reassignment therapy. It should of course only be given to consenting adults. If it isn't, then that's what needs to be changed.

And this particular issue was regarding federal funding of the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act.

Are you saying parents are using and are covered by federal funding under this act to force their children to become straight?

And also is it that all people MUST be in favor of gay marriage?

Internet celebrities are already hard at work re-electing Trump/Pence in 2020, one condescending tweet at a time:

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The celebrity and other other elitists with condescending attitudes dripping from every pore of their being played an important part in getting Trump elected. Even the elitist media has very belatedly figured this out. I predict even those progressives who despise the people in the flyover states as they call it who realize they made a mistake and are all sorry about it now will revert to form because that is just how their mind works. If they are uncomfortable with the backlash now if they keep this up they and most of us will look at today as the good old days.

It never even occurred to these people that most liberals and progressive can not afford Broadway tickets either.

I, sitting in the audience, would have been pissed off because I bought a very expensive ticket to escape reality. Only to have someone "make a stand" on my dime.

Broadway is not for the peasants. Believe me, this will bit them in the ass looking for other roles. Talent is a dime a dozen.

The focus should be the production. Protest and raise hell on your own time. This stunt screamed thirsty.

I voted for Clinton, and don't agree with it.
