Sports history has officially been made

On November the 2nd, and remember it was the 2nd as it was shortly before midnight, the Cubs win the world series for the first time in over a century, their last victory being in 1908. Of course, history would still be made if the Indians would have won, since they haven't won in 68 years and their win would have gone along with the Cavs'. But being from northern Illinois, I have to say that I'm proud of our team, and will remember this night, when it was and where I was, forever. Congrats Cubs.

Congratulations to all the Cubs fans especially Steve Bartman.

While there have been a few playoff and World Series games just as dramatic when you combine how wacky the game was (2 players scoring on a wild pitch a rain delay in the 10th inning for starters) and the fact that both teams had not won in a ridiculous amount of time I have never witnessed a sporting event remotely like that in my almost 6 decades on this earth.

id just like to ask.....why is it called the "world series" when it appears to only include america? surely that should just be called "american series"? i mean, europe, asia, africa and everywhere else are a thing.

Slight hijack but it's relevant to another potentially historic sport event, more history could be made sat night too, the ring legend manny pacman pacquiao could win another world title, this time as a fully fledged senator in his err ''spare time'', no joke going through sparring, training and nutrition to ensure you're as prepared as possible to get punched and punch back whilst conducting the business of holding office and all those responsibilities the rest of the time you're not in camp.

If only it were last year, for the Back to the Future prediction. Lol. ^^

Also they call the super bowl winners world champions but there are no non u.s teams in the n.fl. Although maybe one day we in u.k may get a team hopefully.Well done cubs great game 7.
