If the members of the electoral college do not vote with their party, they could effect the results of the election.

Doubt it. They never have in the whole history of the country, and it's not like Trump will have a razor-thin electoral college margin; he's likely to have 300+ electoral votes.

If they did, it could make things a lot worse. Both sides would be riled.

There might be a few from both parties. However I don't think Hillary would have enough of a net gain to win. She has already conceded so it sounds like she isn't really even thinking about the possibility anymore.
