I would just like to say what I'm really thinking on this election. I hope Donald Trump and Mike Pence die in horribly gruesome ways with the rest of their conservative and GOP and alt-right friends. I hated Trump before the election, back in 2008, he was still a D-List celebrity with a lousy show, Freudian buildings, gaudy gold letters on everything, an ugly guy with an ugly haircut, and I will be damned if I let that meatheaded, middle school bully who picks on smaller people to feel better and pretend to be more popular, be in a position of authority, let alone allowed to let followers string up people with brown skin on lampposts. And personally, I think after this election, we should overthrow the nation-state system, I am so sick of nationalism and geopolitics and fighting and hatred. I have some rough ideas, can picture a eco-social-democratic three-tier system, local, regional, global, with a world parliament that's more of a large almost anarchic structure. And I'm interested in looking for a legal means of setting up a way to basically extract billions of dollars from giant companies and offshore funds and world military budgets and such, and then redistribute it into various causes such as halting deforestation and species extinction, and funding cheap prefab housing, through legal means of acquiring and distributing these funds transparently under the public eye. Because, quite frankly, there are a ton of problems in the world, and it’s doubtful that this election, or Trump or the pundits and parties, will work on solving them, within our lifetimes or even in the next 4 years. I haven't delved deep into working on it due to various priorities I have at the moment. But this election has made me consider renouncing my association with humanity as an identity, I may be still biologically Homo sapiens, but I don't want to be "human" anymore, just be a different entity type on my own. And for any Trump voters, here's a little something for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwkdGr9JYmE

You have a few good points! Yes the system is corrupt and in dire need of radical reform. Scientists, artists and musicians would rule better than politicians!

I don't know much about fund raising but unfortunately money still talks - wish it weren't so...

hate won this round. pray for America. if one side keeps having to defend itself against the other, that will eventually make us ripe for takeover by a more united external enemy.

Surely the majority of Trump voters were not motivated by hate? A small percentage of reactionaries maybe. Perhaps the vote was more an anti-Clinton vote than a pro-Trump one. He'd have lost to a better Dem candidate - one who could also get people all fired up and feel good about themselves. Hillary couldn't pull that off.

That said, both my partner and myself were puzzled and amazed at the outcome.

the trumpites hated Clinton, the bernies hated Clinton, the clintonites hated trump. hate all around. no hope, just "i'm the only thing standing between you and trump/Clinton." you're so fortunate you don't have to live here. things will get ugly.
