When I was neck-deep into politics, I never stepped outside my home without at least three exit plans should things go wrong. Moreover, I knew a dozen ways to spin a question back to my favor regardless of what the interviewer asked me. In my opinion, these minor-league Wanna Be politicians are embarassing.

She could always run on honesty, but then she wouldn't be elected in London I guess.

JH-B is quite a well known troll. She spends much of her time throwing accusation after accusation at anyone that doesn't hold the same opinion as her then when the interviewee gets annoyed she makes that her story. She often looks like she is going to hyperventilate on BBCQT with all that faux exasperation stuff she does.

Why Sarah Olney agreed to speak to her is quite baffling tbh.

All the more reason to practice and hold in reserve some tactics of her own to avoid such questions instead of hanging up.

Agree that you shouldn't bail on an interview no matter how childish the interviewer is being. The story then becomes about you and your bailing out rather than politics and helping people, though tbh I followed the Richmond Park by election very closely and this is the first time I have heard about this interview.

The only way this could be more hilarious is if we heard the sound of feet running away, thud thud thud into the distance. They should have added that as a sound effect.

I wonder what her ethnic origin is. She looks like she could be just English but she also looks like she could be something else.

Reading more about Sarah Olney, and not seeing any evidence of any recent immigrants in her family, and listening to the interview, I think the jockey's approach to this interview could come across as bullying, because Sarah Olney doesn't present herself as super-smart or as a career politician, but an ordinary person who was thrust into politics. Keeping this in mind, her constituents may not expect her to be able to always have the right, ready answers, and may dislike the radio host for trying to grill her and make her look back.

Try listening to the video. Olney was just utterly humiliated and had to run away and be protected by her spin doctor.

She didn't bail out because the interviewer was being childish, she bailed out because a question was asked which proved that Olney was a fraud. She would have been told to get out the way by her team.

She just knows Olney is a fraud and it only took a few minutes to destroy her.

The interviewer sounds utterly psychotic to me.

Having said that, you have to be able to deal assertively with a***holes if you want a career in politics.
