So, far it's one Republican and eight Democrats. Somewhat to their credit, these eight Democratic electors are putting their money where their mouth is and saying they'll vote for a moderate Republican.

Most likely we'll have Trump as president, and many of the rather extremist people he's nominating.

We'll going to have to be more active, informed, and educated as citizens. And we'll going to need to help educate others, as we often do here on WP. We've going to have to both play defense and work the silver linings.

For example, how do you get fair to middling at making a judgment call on whether public-private partnerships on infrastructure projects are good ones, or our bs and pork? Seems like this would be a learnable skill, but you don't have to be experts, just good enough. And if that doesn't interest you, maybe another issue. Just keep light-touching different issues, dancing them as it were, and there's a good chance you'll find some you enjoy learning a little more about, and sharing it in bite-sized pieces with your fellow citizens.
