These celebs have no influence beyond hardening the belief by Trump voters that that that there is a liberal elite that hates them and their kind. People voted against Trump from because they are Progressives, Democrats, or Never Trump or some combination of the above.

It is called "Hollywierd" for a number of reasons.

Charlie Sheen's dad, a washed up actor who's played the president. That really gave me a laugh when I looked it up.

That's mean and disrespectful, Ezra, and it makes it clear who you side with even though you claim you don't side.

Martin Sheen is a highly respected actor. It's unfortunate about the disgrace that one of his sons has become but Martin himself is a deeply good man. "Washed up" -- nice.

At least he's had a career.

View some of his best films and learn some respect instead of calling an adult man with an impressive career horrible things.

So the impression I'm getting is, the electors casting their votes on December 19th is something a lot of people have huge hopes for. If only 35 or whatever will just be unfaithful, then Hillary will get in office.

"I'm not asking you to vote for Hillary"...even though voting for Daffy Duck will amount to the same result.

Hey, let's claim the Russians were behind Trump being elected and make a huge deal out of it right before December 19th. No one will suspect a thing.

I just hope I don't run out of popcorn.

The white electorate has taken a swipe at the so-called "liberal elite" - and nowhere is the elite more liberal than in Hollywood. If anything the celebrity endorsement will have a negative effect...

I think celebrities, generally speaking, are full of HOOEY!! I might consider what one was saying, if I thought they were considering ALL sides of an issue; but, most of 'em are WAAAAAY too quick with the "Awww, poor baby", for me, and are tree-huggers and sheeple!!

If the electors do go faithless it would be a political disaster; possibly it could be the beginning of civil war. I don't think this will happen though. The electoral college is a formality.

I rarely pay attention to the politics of celebrities. If I did I'd probably stop listening to music and watching movies.

Recently when an elector in Texas had refused to vote for Trump. a judge told him he had no choice; winner take all. I don't think the electors can get out of the Trump vote if that's the way their states went.
As much as I despise Trump, the fact is, American government has proven to be so stable for two hundred plus years because of a smooth and peaceful transfer of power with every newly elected President. Trump is only going to be in for four years, then Martin Sheen and all those other celebrities can have their last laugh.
