Melania Trump has declared that she will take on cyberbullying saying she would like to see social media as a safe space where people can be without fear of harrassment
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/201 ... ign-speech

Perhaps her first target should be her own husband and his rather despicable director of social media Dan Scavino
http://www.news.com.au/technology/onlin ... e77dc9bb5a

At a public auditorium a young 18 yr old college student, Lauren Batchelder, asked the then republican candidate Trump “So, if you become president, will a woman make the same as a man, and do I get to choose what I do with my body?”
Trump replied “You’re gonna make the same if you do as good a job, and I happen to be pro-life,”
That's where it should have ended....but no

The next morning, Mr Trump’s official Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump) labelled Ms Batchelder “arrogant” and “nasty”. He called her a “plant” (remember this is just a kid)
She became the subject of memes from Trump supporters but, worse than that, she became the subject of personal, violent attacks.
Some called her a “b***h”. Others called her “a dumb-looking Bush worker” and “a little doucher girl”.
The Washington Post spoke with the now-19-year-old this week. She said the abuse was shocking, threatening and demeaning.
One person told her they wished they “could f***ing punch you in the face” and “stomp your head on the curb and urinate in your bloodied mouth and I know where you live, so watch your f***ing back punk”.
Batchelder deleted her Twitter account after Mr Trump tweeted about her due to fears for her physical safety. Her personal details have also been leaked meaning she will need to move her living situation/accommodation as well.

So where is Melania Trump to support this girl barely out of her teenage years being subject to unprovoked extreme bullying and harassment from her own husband and his staffers/supporters. Had she been one year younger it might constitute child abuse.

Melania Trump talking about doing something about online bullying is equivalent to Eva Braun telling 1930s Germans to desist from being offensive to Jewish people. Perhaps Melania should have kept her mouth quiet and just continue living in Trump towers at the expense of the NY taxpayer...

Are you saying it's 1930's Nazi Germany all over again? I mean like for the umpteenth time? The thing I dislike the most about this trend I see around the internet is it basically trivializes and glosses over the Holocaust.

I think she is linguistically gifted but her right wing backers forget she was a topless model. Being able to speak a number of languages does not equate to intelligence.

Imagine if Colonel Sanders were elected POTUS, and imagine if First Lady Mrs Sanders then took up the cause of converting America to Veganism. Its that magnitude of irony and hypocrisy. I think that thats what the OP meant. Not necessarily that Trump is as bad as Hitler.

Nor does being a topless model equate to ignorance.

(sigh) I know, me neither.

As much as I hate to say it----for ME, the thing that bothers me the most, is that she wasn't born here. (To be fair, I wasn't happy about John McCain being born in Panama; nor, Cruz in Canada----and, I know she's not going to be President, but.....)

They're gonna do it so learn to embrace and enjoy it.
It's only a reflection of their desperation.

It's just an analogy to demonstrate the breathtaking hippocracy, I'm not referring to Melania as an "Eva Braun" or suggesting she is a Nazi.

It's pretty ridiculous seeing liberals react to someone being a topless model the way you'd expect conservatives to. I mean what about the Free The Nipple movement?

It seems a woman's beasts are only a bad thing to the liberals when they belong to Melania Trump, better known to them as Eva Braun

She wouldn't even be the first first lady born abroad. Louisa Adams, wife of JQA, was born in England.

Yeah, but she was American.

No what I would like to see is integrity.
