Florida teacher who threatened to get students ‘sent back to Africa’, gets suspended

Quote:
He will be transferred to Mitchell High School in Trinity, Fla., where he will teach students with autism.

The school board members were unanimous in approving the disciplinary steps that were taken. They felt that the suspension and the transfer were enough.

Florida reminds me of northern Queensland here in Australia. The tropical heat doesn't just burn these people's necks. Looks like this teacher's brains got a little cooked as well.

Why is he still allowed to teach??

Why is teaching a class of autistic kids considered punishment? It is going to be punishment for bieng autistic to have this guy teaching them.

Oh yeah he sounds like a perfect candidate to teach kids with autism, he really knows how to make students feel comfortable.... I don't care if he's not 'really' a racist or whatever it is still very inappropriate for a teacher to make any kind of threats against students, what is to stop him from doing that again?

Does this autism school choose their teachers out of the dumpster? or what.

I think the education authorities seem to think putting him with autistic kids is like chucking him in a pit of vipers? it's not going to help his racism and it's certainly not going to benefit the kids
