If you don't support the Dakota Access Pipeline, boycott Wells Fargo. 2 cities have pulled 3 billion dollars worth of funds from them.

Hit them where it hurts...their wallets.

I would be interested in learning more about the pros and cons of the Dakota Access Pipeline ...
without any name-calling or insults
and from an unbiased news source.

I was already boycotting them for the way they had taught their employees to steal from their customers.

I haven't had a wells fargo account for quite some time, switched to a credit union a while back because of their sh*tty service and fees, this is just another good reason not to bank through them but hardly the only one. Also not really trying to be a conspiracy theorist just encouraging this boycott.

Even if the pipeline has benefits why does it have to go through anyones water supply?

Do you have proof for what you're saying?
Meanwhile, here's what I've found, link appears below:

* The entire Dakota Access Pipeline is buried underground.
* The Dakota Access Pipeline does not cross Standing Rock Sioux reservation land.
* Lake Oahe currently contains eight other pipelines, including existing non-DAPL dual 42-inch pipelines operating since 1982.
...
* The water source for Standing Rock Sioux will be over 70 miles from the pipeline by early 2017.

"This $3.8 billion project crosses almost entirely private land, often already in use for other utility easements. The Dakota Access Pipeline does not cross the Standing Rock Sioux reservation, even at the portion of the pipeline that is the subject of dispute at Lake Oahe. In developing the route, the United States Army Corps of Engineers alone held 389 meetings with 55 tribes regarding the Dakota Access project. In addition, the U.S. Army Corps reached out to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe nearly a dozen times to discuss archaeological and other surveys conducted before finalizing the Dakota Access route.

"Notably, Lake Oahe already contains eight other pipelines uneventfully operating adjacent to the path of the Dakota Access Pipeline, as well as one high-voltage electric transmission line. DAPL crosses at least 95 feet below the bottom of Lake Oahe, and at points, up to 115 feet below."

I am not here to debate about it, I just wanted to let people know if they don't support it one thing they can do is not support wells fargo...not really sure I trust a right wing government site for accurate information about it.

Sounds good, in that case, we don't need to debate about it.
Anyways, for anyone else new to the issue,
at least now I've provided some pertinent information.

Doesn't matter, the narrative is that the Sioux are being raked over by greedy oil companies.

It appears the Sioux are concerned that the pipeline could break, and contaminate their water.

Being British and not having a clue about politics, assume I'm an idiot in asking the following:

Why is the US govt starting construction on a pipeline such a big deal?
