The culprit's gone, I don't know what Labour's going to do next.

If that article was written years and years ago, I would have been the saddest man in the world metaphorically!

However, since it's this day and age, I am very happy!

Tony Blair is the most evil person ever to be given power in Britain.

Gordon Brown will be just as bad.

Thatcher was worse.
Tony Blair isn't evil. I'm not saying you have to like and/or agree with him, but he's not evil.

He was a terrible leader, Thatcher's equal almost. What he's done to this country is reprehensible. Still, not evil but a bad leader.

I think he's vermin. And many true socialists think the same of the delusional, authoritarian scumbag.

Tony Blair forgot that he was leading a democracy. He said in his resignation speech that he "did what I thought was right.". The concerning word there is the "I". He didn't do what his country, his people, thought was right - he did what HE thought was right and rode roughshod over everyone else.

For a leader of a democratic country, that is nothing short of criminal.

I shan't be missing him.

Thatcher was an evil b***h. Tony Blair isn't evil. The most evil thing about him is he's religious.

As an American who worked for four administrations, I agree with Sopho that Blair isn't evil. He did, however, make the mistake of hitching his wagon to the Bush neoconservative horse - arguably the worst presidential administration in the history of the US by any number of metrics. The worst effect of this from my perspective is the erosion of civil liberties and the emergence of a surveillance society, even more quickly than it is developing over here. This is very regrettable to me, as I happen to love the UK (I've been there more times than I can count) and almost consider London my second home.

i think blair was a good leader, as he said he did what he belived t be correct and that is what he was suppose to do.

a democratic leader shud not just do as popular opion dictates at any given moment.

if a country was ruled buy popular opinion then it woude go straigth to hell

i am not saying he did not make bad decisons but he made fewer then most and for a politican he seemed like a decent fella

Next to Dubya and Little Johnny Howard (the PM of Australia), I reckon Tony Blair was more benign. I reckon he was scared, not sucking up. Sucking up was what John Howard did, though....
