Okay, that's it. Boot out Justin. You, my lovely USA friends, think you have problems but it's topsy-turvy. Your Prez can keep the gov't payroll rolling. Our Cdn Justin installed a new payroll system which went ka-bonk at least as far back as February. The Cdn Govt is meeting payroll by borrowing from Unemployment etc. And now it's not meeting it at all - especially as regards me! I am receiving Zero for the month! I phone, they tell me try again tomorrow. But I looked at Google.

What happens now? People paid by companies are okay. But my pension is gov't paid ... erm ... unpaid.

We didn’t meet payroll during the Obama administration; tons of soldiers and government workers had their pay delayed… Sucks, but sometime wasteful spending and lack of budget catches up.

But what did the creditors do? Wait patiently? Foreclose?

The 2-3 times it happened, it only lasted a few weeks… Most decent banks worked with you, if affected.

Example:

USAA Government Shutdown

There are many reasons that I want Justin booted out and this is one of them.

Call your creditors and explain that Ottawa got their act screwed up and you have not received your pension check. Since it's a government screwup, they should be able to work with you.

As for us here in the States, IIRC, military, SSA recipients and government contractors got paid. Civil service employees got furloughed, and most creditors deferred until the government started paying their employees again.

The biggest issue with tRump is if he decides not to pay the government's bills, like he ran his businesses (into the ground.). That should be grounds for impeachment if he does that. Then again, when did the current reThuglican party give a damn about the current good? If you think the Dopeycrats are any better, I got a bridge located in Brooklyn, NY I'd like sell you dirt cheap!

Meistersinger, thank you for that encouraging note.

Thank you also for reminding me of this, which completely took my mind off 1929 -

Lastly, I apologize for my spellcheck, which tried to change your name to Hammerstein.
