The Mediciad cuts are intentionally designed to take effect after the 2020 elections and 2020 census with the idea that Republicans will still be in control and gerrymander. The census is held every ten years requiring redrawing of congressional districts.

Sure, those able bodied recipients can go out and get jobs with employer provided health care - - if all employers were compelled to provide said health care. That, and compelled to hire as many people to capacity.
