This is probably old news to the WP community, but I wanted to know what people would currently think about a headset, if it was made available.
One older story for background:

I loved what the instructor said at the bottom of the article, that the device could be useful to let him know when 20% of his students were bored. Hah! That might occur as soon as they sit down.
We've all probably been in a class that was SOOOO boring. Of course, that's individual, and I'd show up early for one class, to catch the end of another class lecture, because I liked the subject.
The advantage would be "knowing" what another person was thinking by their facial expression. Something we may never have been exposed to before.
Do we really want to know? It's akin to mind reading. To me, as an Aspie. Do I want to know that a person who has just said "Hello, pleased to meet you" is bored and not at all pleased to meet me? I guess NTs pick that up all the time. But I think that would be overwhelming for me personally.
I still wouldn't know why someone was bored, or angry. I would wonder if it was me that caused it. And the computer headset won't tell me that. I'm wondering if it's better to walk around without knowing.
