Anything McConnell tries to push through with reconciliation is bound to fail this term. He can only afford to lose 2 votes and still pass the legislation, anything hard right will lose more than 2 moderate senators and anything too centrist will lose even more conservatives. It's a lameduck session as far as anything budget related is concerned, unless he decides to forgo reconciliation, use the normal process and negotiate with moderate Democrats to hit the 60 vote threshold he'll need to prevent filibuster.
