Apparently, Anthony Scaramucci, Tufts graduate and Harvard Law, self-made rich dude from a poor background, has the kind of attitude that the White House wishes to convey to the world.

His first order of business was to lash out at the now-former Chief of Staff. I wonder if this happened because of bad blood with Priebus, or was part of a strategy. Most likely, it just represents the ongoing chaos in the Executive Branch. Incidentally, 189 days sets a new record for the shortest time in the job.

He also uses vulgar language and made a public comment about Bannon engaging in oral sex with himself.

I'm not a fan of Kellyanne Conway but how is it that a woman can be severely condemned and called unprofessional for the way she sits on a couch and a man can go on a tirade of profanity which includes the phrase "I'm not Steve Bannon, I'm not trying to suck my own (slang for male body part which also means rooster)" and that is ok?

How far our country has fallen in honor, respect, and professionalism. What happened to the conservatives who cared about these values? Where is Donald Rumsfeld when you need him?

I'd say The Mooch reminds me of Lenny and Squiggy, but they were ultimately portrayed as pretty decent guys, a bit rough around the edges.

I don't like that much public profanity coming from an official mouthpiece of my country, particularly personal attacks directed at a coworker. In the abstract, it doesn't offend me any more than however a person chooses to sit. I don't like the idea that the White House has turned into a Frat House, and that offends me a lot. People should confront KAC with her lies. Getting overly casual in the Oval Office seems bound to happen when the place loses all dignity.

If the president's Chief Of Staff indeed was a leaker then Scaramucci was right to publicly sound the alarm since it would of been hard to fire him otherwise, Priebus is an establishment guy and has been since they brought him in to lead the RNC ousting Michael Steele. Priebus was relatively fair to Trump during the campaign unlike his criminal counterpart ex-DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz but he's always been a rat that couldn't be trusted. Priebus was an anti-Ron Paul guy, he was one of the guys that I think spearheaded the rule changes against Ron Paul supporters that would ultimately ensure that they could not steal the nomination away from Trump. Some are saying that the White House will now pursue a more independent agenda and is ready to 'wage war' against the Paul Ryan-led congress, Priebus and Ryan are very very close. We'll see how it goes, General Kelly seems like someone much better organized and demanding of respect.

Scaramucci also is ringer that 80s guy on Futurama

It's all theater meant for public consumption

A publicly available document can't exactly be leaked, and the reporter on The Mooch's financial disclosure forms obtained it with a simple request.

Not all that long ago, the Mooch had been Anti-Trump, and has had to erase a bunch of his tweets recently that had revealed that stance.

WH Spokesperson no more

Trump removes Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director

Quote:
Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House communications director,” said press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a statement on Monday afternoon. “Mr Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

The decision to remove Scaramucci, nicknamed “the Mooch”, came at Kelly’s request, the New York Times reported. It is not clear whether Scaramucci will remain employed at the White House in another position or leave altogether, the paper added.

His removal may take some pressure off Steve Bannon, the longtime Trump aide whose position has been under threat in recent weeks. The former White House communications director made Bannon a target in his rant to the New Yorker and, in response, was the subject of repeatedly negative articles on Breitbart, the publication Bannon once ran.

/\ I just heard this on TV, and wondered if it was because of the General, because they didn't say. I was, actually, kind-of excited to hear the General had been appointed----maybe this means, he's "cleaning house"----and, I certainly cannot say that I'm disappointed to see the Mooch, go.

I imagine he gave Trump an ultimatum. Hopefully, there's someone in the White House, now, who isn't a sycophant.

The white house is now a temp agency, new people every week, old people in new jobs every week. SAD.

All the feels.

His term lasted for less than a page. Is it symptomatic of Insane White House Fatigue that I first felt sad at all the comedy I'll miss? I felt a little ashamed, immediately, and then started wondering what his firing accomplished.

They have tried to restore just a little safety blanket of dignity to the seat of the US Government. I don't know whether to feel disgusted at the corruption just underneath it, or to feel happy that they at least have enough of a collective sense of shame to make the smallest effort to cover it up.

This probably needs it's own thread.

Well a small grain of decency is better than none.
