Trump is renegotiating NAFTA
Trump's NAFTA delegates have an "America First" agenda.
Canada, and Mexico are balking at giving more favorable terms for America.
This is raising concerns Trump will end NAFTA.
What's amazing is, where are the Democrats? This is the biggest labor issue of my lifetime, Ross Perot's "giant sucking sound", the enemy of labor unions for decades, and only Bernie Sanders voiced support for Trump to "keep his promises". What does #1 presidential hopeful, Democrat Joe Biden have to say, not a peep. Amazing.
Trump proposes:
-Make Mexico pay for the wall by increasing/adding a border tax
-Presently, cars must be 62% built in North America, Trump proposes to raise that to 85%
-Trump proposes that half of the 85% come from America.
-Trump proposes a clause that triggers a NAFTA renegotiation every five years
-end the trade dispute system that let's parties complain
-add protections for seasonal fruit & vegetable growers
-"level the playing field" for American farmers

This would be amazing for Detroit, which seems to currently be a ghost town. The negotiation clause is a great idea- fair for everyone. You would think that Canada and Mexico would see that as their chance to get things in for themselves next time.
NAFTA is not really fair for Canada and Mexico either, not for the common people. All that stuff needs to be worked back out so everyone has a shot of getting back a functional blue collar middle class again. We don't need those blue collar people in service industry jobs. That's been killing us in many ways.
