An environmentalist named Esmond Bradley Martin, was recently murdered. Why? He was protecting endangered megafauna from illegal poaching.

Standing up for what you believe is difficult and sometimes dangerous. Poachers and drug criminals often have homicidal personalities. They kill without remorse if interfered with, especially in areas where laws are not easily enforced.

This is really not news...

Activists campaigning against illegal logging in South America or illegal mining in India or poaching in Africa have been targeted for a while as they are walking around with a giant cross hair on their back. The groups they are campaigning against are organised crime gangs who have no compunction eliminating those trying to disrupt their operations.
