Hey, where are the Western "feminists" when something like this happens?! Don't they care about women? Here we have an example of a woman "opposing the patriarchy" (and it doesn't get much more patriarchal than Iran - Saudi Arabia and I.S.I.S. being even more extreme though), so why is not the far-Left, feminist-dominated Western media saying much about recent events there? Is it because they're far too much in love with Islam, and that is why they are staying silent, and the oppressors are in this instance not white and Christian?

Sheer, unadulterated hypocrisy and misandry. Misogyny too, because they don't really care about women. If you thought they did, you were fooled. It's all about power (and Marxist ideology).

Perhaps they are quieter because people generally tend to be more interested in things that happen closer to home than in other countries.

That could be one reason. I often forget how parochial many people are, because I tend to be far more interested in events that occur overseas. Events that take place in other countries tend to be far more important, far more newsworthy.

I will admit that modern Western leftists/liberals often lack an international perspective, and prefer to over-analyse the West. That being said, conservatives are like this too.

That's why I try to see the entire world. I've criticized Islamic extremists several times. I've also said positive things about Middle Eastern feminist organisations such as the Kurdistan Worker's Party.



... and this is where your post goes off the deep end. How many feminists even know what Marxism is? Quite a few feminists nowadays just support the Democrats and know nothing about economics.

If modern feminists were Marxists, that would be a significant improvement. Marxist feminism is good for everyone in the lower class, regardless of sex and gender. Modern "liberal" feminism doesn't really have anything to offer men, which is why so many men are abandoning it.

You are also ignoring the fact that Marxist feminists tend to be more international-minded than garden-variety liberal Democrat feminists.

Yes, conservatives are like this, but at least they are willing to admit it. They (generally) don't pretend to believe in what they claim is right and true. They (again, generally) stick by their beliefs.



That's good. At least you try to see beyond the media bubble that would have us believe that if something occurs in the non-English speaking world it just doesn't matter enough to be reported on.



Marxism isn't just about economics though. It's also about how we should completely overhaul society, and one example given in the Communist Manifesto is the abolition of the traditional family.

I disagree with the first sentence here, and (partially) agree with the second. Modern feminism never really had anything at all to offer men, and that is why most men will simply not accept it. Those who joined up and decided to call themselves feminists, are now realising their error.



As far as I'm concerned, they're all the same. They all hate men don't they?
