This is just plain stubborn, condesciding stupidity. The FBI is trying to censor what they have already revealed. This must be Obama's order.

They blasted it all over the tv and radio news.

This story is getting to be just unbelievable. The Justice Department is editing these transcripts to omit the killer's open declaration of allegiance to ISIS and his open identification of himself as an "Islamic soldier." The Justice Department doesn't want the American people to know that. (Fortunately, it's too late.)

And now I'm seeing reports that the killer's open "Praise Allah" statements have been edited by the Justice Department to read "Praise God." (Because, you know, he might have been a Lutheran or something.)

It is likely to prevent copycat attacks from happening... and to prevent ISIS from using the attack for propaganda purposes.

However, given the publicity which the shooter has already been given - and the political repercussions in an election year - it is probably a futile endeavour to withhold information about the shooter's name and his pledge of allegiance.

It's all politics, the US right now tacitly supports ISIS in Syria against Bashar al-Assad, this is a stone cold fact and part of how they've received armaments and money. Turkey is heavily involved in illegally trading oil from ISIS, Turkey is allied with ISIS in it's war against the Kurds. So of course they redacted it, it makes them look bad. Obama will not fight ISIS, he is a lame duck president who is only running interference for the DNC at this point. It's not to prevent copycats, the cat is out of the bag on this one and ISIS themselves took credit for the attack calling Mateen a 'lion for the caliphate'. We have to be honest about who are enemy is and to stop so stupidly entangling our alliances.

The FBI, DOJ, State Dept., CIA, NSA, Defense Dept. etc... Redact documents like this all the time for "intelligence" reasons.
They've been doing this since the 1980s.

The FBI doesn't want ISIS to know they are on to them and have the information in public hands.



Even the lead Republican on the last Benghazi committee redacted numerous articles and statements because they didn't like how it made the committee look.

This is nothing more than the FBI Director being overly paranoid about blowing the security net on ISIS.
I mean the FBI redacted numerous stuff in the court documents it submitted against Apple to win their case against Apple. It turns out it was nothing of importance (they did the same to Microsoft too).


There's no conspiracy over the shooter.
It's been proven based on his school required dating back to 1st grade that he had the signs of mental health issues but no one did anything about it.
He showed even strong signs when he went to High School, College, and tried to become a Security Guard.

He also had secret gay life too on top of it all.

Though the ex-wife says the FBI told her not to talk about or allude to his secret gay life too in an interview with the foreign press.

Meh. The GOP & most conservative speakers/writers are erasing that it was LGBT people who were killed.

The only way to get accurate 'news' accounting is to read a wide variety and aggregate what you find.

In this case that would be:

"Muslim commits conservative religion based massacre of mostly Latinx LGBT people"

Had the shooter in Orlando been a Roman Catholic and screamed his allegiance to Pope Francis and the Vatican Curia and that he was sending these sinful gays to meet their Maker....does ANYONE with a single molecule of objective honesty think that 100% of those transcripts would not be released, unredacted and--in fact--would be featured to show how Christians are equally culpable in the modern terrorist infested world?

The cognitive dissonance displayed by the administration’s official posture of denying that Islamic terrorism is Islamic is deafening.
