Noting he was Catholic, Cuomo said Catholics and Baptists share many of the same beliefs but Catholics "do it without the rhythm."

He added: "But we try. We are not as without rhythm as our Jewish brothers and sisters."

Cuomo then singled out Hank Sheinkopf, a Jewish Democratic political consultant who was moving to the music in a front pew. Cuomo referred to Sheinkopf's movements as "ugly."

A Cuomo spokeswoman later told the New York Post the governor was poking fun at himself and a longtime friend.

All I know is I am Jewish and I got no rhythm. But I blame my Autism motor coordination difficulties. The stroke I had a few years back did not help

I'm Episcopalian, I once could dance strongly, kind of compulsively - I remember once being complimented, told I had a " dancer's body " :roll: - meant to be wistful - I did well at my -rather Jewish-Eoiscopa, it seems, - high school's prom. Now I'm crippled , and have mucho pain :cry: .

Sometimes, Cuomo comes across as the sort of guy who really doesn't understand black people too well.

He sounds like a white guy who hasn't been around black people too much.

I'm pretty sure that happiness itself is banned in Baptist Christianity. :lol:

Well, I grew-up going to Southern Baptist and Baptist churches, off-and-on, but I don't ever remember that being a tenet, and was taught how to dance when I was a little bitty kid. Of course, some churches may be more strict, than others----but, the only thing that I remember that might have been considered a tenet, per se, was that women weren't allowed to cut their hair (it had to do with the passage in the Bible that says a woman's hair is her crowning glory, or something like that); but, my mother cut mine when I was 5, and was starting 1st grade (no kindergarten when I started school - and my birthday's late in the year), cuz she said it was too much trouble for her to brush and fix, in the mornings.

Now, one of my sisters, as an adult, was a Pentecostal, and she couldn't do ANYTHING. She wasn't allowed to wear makeup or pants, and couldn't dance----but, we sang together on her church's radio program.

...Her biological kids or adopted? From a same-sex relationship or a hetero one predating her being out?
