So where are all these 'enemy combatants' flowing in?

Trump recently tweeted something about enemy combatants flowing into the country, does anyone have an idea as to what he was talking about. I'd just think if enemy combatants were flowing in I'd be hearing some things in the news about them killing citizens and attempting to take over imporant areas of the country...but I haven't seen any enemy combatants lately. So was Trump on crack, just paranoid or knowingly making s**t up?

Maybe he means those combating border control and immigration laws, by entering the country illegally.

If Martians did invade, I bet many people would argue it's their right to do so, we are wrong to want to stop them, we are just being xenophobic, we would let them invade if they were white instead of green and so on.

For me it would make a difference.

The difference is invasion vs immigration. Crossing a boundary or barrier without permission is invading, trespassing, intruding and so forth.

The 'scare quotes' around the term "enemy combatants" is maybe more appropriate than people realise. Its meaning has been the subject of a tug-of-war ever since 9/11...

Wiktionary: Enemy combatant; noun wrote:

The term 'enemy combatant' has historically referred to any member of the armed forces of a state with which another state is at war. In the 'war on terrorism', however, combatants may come from multiple nations, wear no uniforms, and use unconventional weapons; because they are not defined by simple, readily apparent criteria such as citizenship or military uniforms, the power of a state to name people 'enemy combatants' is, according to some legal scholars, extraordinarily broad.
