Arly Ermey, best known as the tougher than tough drill sergeant in the movie, Full Metal Jacket, as well as many other roles, has passed away at age 74. A great character actor who will be missed.

He was a retired real Marine drill sergeant.

He was good hosting one or more shows on the History Channel, like "Mail Call".

He was also Sarge in Toy Story.

He ad-libbed his role in Full Metal Jacket. He did an amazing job.

Like the late Dennis Farina, he wasn't a great actor. He always just played himself. Be he was such a great character that we all loved him, and will all miss him.
