He had the right idea but the wrong method. A lot of black owned businesses in the 1960s went bust because their customer base was black. Integration mean't black Americans stopped supporting their own communities and their money left the community. MLK and Malcolm X were conveniently assassinated before either could address this key issue in the black community.
