Melania Trump Does Not Want Children Separated At Borders

Not a "Stepford Wife" after all, I underestimated her previously. Must say that I am as astonished as I am relieved that she is standing up to the unconscionable acts of Trump and his henchmen as they try to justify the kidnapping and confinement of infants in inhumane circumstances.

It is perhaps too much to hope that at least some of the "Christians" who fervently support Trump will recall what their heavenly mentor had to say about adults who enable the mistreatment of children and rediscover their conscience, but I hope that at least some finally see what they have supported in the clear light of day.

I truly do not know what to make of her.

She seems mostly about raising Barron and protecting his privacy an extremely difficult task that she seems to be doing well. She is not an elected official and is under no obligation to share her political beliefs or to even have them.

As far as her ”dissapearence” my guess was that it was not domestic abuse but that the medical condition was a lot more serious then the White House let on. She deserves privacy on her medical issues also.

I didn't read the article, but I feel I have heard enough about the issue, this morning, to make a statement.

First-of-all: Entering this country without the proper papers, is ILLEGAL!!

Secondly: Anybody----ANYBODY----who gets arrested in this country (including CITIZENS - Hello?), canNOT take their children with them to jail!! (Also, I heard this morning that they are also charged a fine of 250 dollars, and I was quite surprised at that, as I feel it should be, at least, a THOUSAND.)

Thirdly: These people put their OWN CHILDREN at risk, when they tried to enter this country, ILLEGALLY!! I know----I know----they may be trying to escape a country that has horrible----HORRIBLE----living conditions (and wars and such), BUT, anyone who breaks the law, has to be held accountable.

Do you think if *I* broke a law, they'd be like: "Awww, well, she's a citizen, we should give her a break"? NO, they wouldn't do that!!

Fourthly, it seems no one is considering that some of these children are entering the country with BAD people, who are NOT their parents. Hello? Hasn't anyone heard of the HUGE trafficking going-on with women and kids being sold into the sex trade, in this country?

Now, don't get me wrong, I hate that some of these kids are being separated from their families----I absolutely HATE it; it breaks my heart----but, the law is the law (you do the crime, you gotta do the time); and, if you Liberal Americans don't like the laws, do something to change them!!

We HAVE TO HAVE laws in this country, otherwise everybody would just run amok----yes, even our citizens----AND, I agree with the president, in that if we don't have borders, we don't have a country!!
