Instead of making poor people feel like **** to convince them to get back on their feet, why don't they try positive reinforcement?

Maybe if Republicans held the rich accountable - such as proving that they are reinvesting their tax cuts and hiring more Americans, rather than just putting the money into their bank accounts - then working people and the poor might just be able to get back on their feet.

but they will never do that unless strong-armed into doing it, because that would interfere with profits. they place a nominally higher value on their stockholders [really their corporate board members] than they do anybody else, even god.

at the cost of invoking godwin's law, hitler was doing the moneyed interest's bidding, history didn't record this by and large. the money doesn't any more of the 99% around than just enough to run their machines and buy their products. we have a similar thing going on now, here and, increasingly, elsewhere. dark ages here we are.

it's not too much of a step from "let 'em die!" [shouted by the audience at a ron paul town hall, a few years back] to the gas chambers IMHO.
