Republican who said 'Hitler was right' wins Missouri primary

Quote:
He will now face Democrat incumbent Jon Carpenter in November.

On his campaign website, he trumpets 'old American values and traditions', calls 'Islam "anti-ethical to everything this country was founded on" and asks "Are vaccines making us sick?".

He also enjoys spouting an imaginative range of nonsensical conspiracy theories and hateful propaganda on his KCXL radio show.

Claiming "Jewish cabals" are "harvesting baby parts" through Planned Parenthood, abuse children and control the Republican party; saying"Hitler was right about what was taking in place in Germany. And who was behind it"; making homophobic, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and racist statements...You name it.

Suuurreee.

There is a problem with neo-Nazism on the fringe of Trump support. It's unfortunate.

As for this - years ago we had a story with a UKIP politician saying that Hitler had charisma. When you actually look at what he said though, there was nothing wrong with his actual speech.

Nazi subsection may be a fringe, holding Nazism beliefs and being bigoted is not.

They’ve been cheering on every attack and attacking minorities like blood thirsty zombies.

Of course though all Trumpsters will yell fake news. Most of the world knows that they are though whether they like it or not, the view derives from the way they act.

They’re Fox News drones and according to former Neo Nazis - Fox News peddles the same exact propogaganda that they used to recruit people. This is why there’s so many Nazis on the right. Again, Trumpsters will scream fake news at this as well since it’ll trigger their easy sensibilities.

Quote:
The party said in a statement:

Steve West’s shocking and vile comments do not reflect the position of the Missouri Republican Party or indeed of any decent individual.

West’s abhorrent rhetoric has absolutely no place in the Missouri Republican Party or anywhere. We wholeheartedly condemn his comments.

Jon Carpeneter, the Democratic opponent who West will face in June, told The Pitch he was "dismayed" about the primary result:

This is anti-semitism, Islamaphobia, homophobia, and racism to a degree that truly shocks the conscience.

It is my hope that folks who voted for [West] in the Republican primary weren't aware of any of this stuff. I sincerely hope that's true.

It is the Republican Party officials that are not the Republican party in Missouri. This guy won by 25 points.

His democrat opponent is in denial, infected by the same conservatives/republicans are stupid belief central to the “progressive” world view in 2018. The voters damm well knew who they were voting for and that was was a Nazi.

Nazi is an accusation so overused it has lost its power. Which is to bad because West is fully deserving of the name. That is Nazi, not neo nazi. There is no such thing as Neo Nazis. People described as Neo Nazis are often plain old Nazis who do not have the power to do what they want.

That is part of the reason but they went after Clinton personally and consistently also. They said Ted Cruz was an ineligible Canadien. It is just how the nature of our degraded public discourse because destroying your opponent has proven time and time again more effective then building up yourself.

Talk about a misleading title. You stopped at "Hitler was right...".

Saying "person X has charisma" is hardly the same thing as saying "person X is right".

The first thing means that "the person has a mysterious hold over the public like a photogenic movie star" whether the speaker himself likes them or not. The second means "I agree with the person" ( unambiguous endorsement).

Even if the title is misleading, the fact remains that the candidate in question is a racist, Anti Semitic loon by what he himself has stated.

Where does he show that he hates Jews for being Jewish?

No. That means he is criticising Jews for stuff that isn't true or what Israel are alleged to be doing. And again. It isn't "the Jews". Israel controls both major parties and the evidence for that is clear. Well that isn't entirely wrong. But does he support the mass exterminations of the Jewish people?

I don't know, call me silly...but when a politician begins a sentence with "Hitler was right," there ain't a whole lotta wiggle room for a positive interpretation.

True. And it's all downhill from there.
