Miami Herald endorses House candidate who claims aliens took her aboard a spaceship

Quote:
Rodriguez Aguilera said in a 2009 television interview that she boarded a spaceship occupied by aliens when she was 7.

“I went in. There were some round seats that were there, and some quartz rocks that controlled the ship — not like airplanes,” Rodriguez said in the interview. She said she was visited by three large, blonde beings.

Why were the beings blondes? Probably because she's a Republican. Republicans have a fascination for fake blondes such as the orange-tinted one occupying the White House.

Quote:
The newspaper on Sunday endorsed Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera, who is running as a Republican for Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s (R-Fla.) seat in the Republican primary for Florida’s 27th Congressional District. The newspaper called her “a strong candidate in the race with plausible conservative ideas.”

That would make her the second politician I know of who has ridden in a flying saucer. The other would be this gentleman. Head of the Kalmyk province of the Russian Republic (also head of the world chess federation).

He claims that it happened recently, when he was an adult. The aliens opened the car door and invited him in, and took him on a joyride through the solar system.

Sorry, but neither the Solomani, the Vilani, nor the Zhodani have any record of either candidate ever travelling beyond Earth's atmosphere; and they keep very good records.

sure it's ridiculous, but why does something she said in 2009 matter now?

Because ... politics!

Imho, every candidate and office-holder should be read their Miranda Rights, especially that part about "... anything you say can and will be used against you".

I also wish more of them would exercise their rights to remain silent...

What happens when the aliens communicate with her telepathically to tell her to vote a particular way on some issue? Will she vote the interests of her constituents or vote the interests of her space alien interlocutors?

...is it even worth it to post the "Aliens!" meme?

That's how it works in politics. If at one point in your life you used to commute to work on the same bus as a notorious bomb throwing radical pinko commie, or if at one time you were a member of a White Protestant only country club (even if it was before the civil rights act of 1964 when that was perfectly legal) it will come back to haunt you if you run for office thirty years later.

Until recently being exposed for having done something as commonplace among young folks as smoking weed while in college was a big deal. A certain pol had to claim that he "never inhaled".

Of course some politicians have the decency to wait until after they retire to get weird. Jimmy Carter waited until after he left the oval office before he got attacked by that giant bunny rabbit. You gotta give him credit for that!

Actually, no. The would-be assassin rabbit in question tried to bag Carter on April 20, 1979. The thwarted attempted assassination of the president by the bunny was reported later on August 28, 1979. Carter's term didn't expire until January 20, 1981.

Wikipedia's report on the attack by the swamp thing
Quote:
Humor columnist Dave Barry has often referred to the "enormous swimming rabbit" incident in his writings. In Dave Barry Slept Here: A Sort of History of the United States, he names it the uncontested single most memorable event of Carter's presidency.

My bad. I didn't google it. Others (like dave berry) have exaggerated it. So I had the impression that it was somekind of supernaturally big giant rabbit. It was just a strange acting normal sized swamp rabbit. And it was while he was in office.

However there is a link in the wiki article to an article about another earlier incident- in 1969- when the then future president saw a UFO in the night sky (at least he doesn't claim to have been taken up in the craft).

I'm inclined to believe her, and I think it's great that we have an abductee running for office. Perhaps, she will help to promote alien disclosure and the release of the UFO files. This is a cause that I feel very strongly about, and honestly even though I tend to vote Democrat and wouldn't vote for a Republican, I really admire that she was brave enough to reveal this experience to the public. And perhaps if she wins, it will encourage other abductees to come forward and demand full disclosure of the extraterrestrial activity on Earth. I have been studying extraterrestrial activity on Earth for my whole life, and the fact that a contactee is running for office is music to my ears.

Mess with the giant rabbit and you'll get the big, furry ears!

If her space family blondes are part of the corporatocracy, then the banner of revolution must be raised:
WORKERS OF ALL WORLDS UNITE!
