I just read through the thread about John McCain passing. He was a great man. What I don’t understand is how a lot of what I read was about bashing Trump. Now I didn’t want to post this on that thread because to me, that should be about honoring and remembering McCain.

My question here is why do people have to take every opportunity to bash the president? This transcends both party lines. Happened to Obama and now Trump. And only seems to be getting worse. If I post a thread about worm farming in Maine someone would bring up Trump and how bad he is. Why?

I like the one that goes like: "If Trump cured cancer, those that oppose him would blame him for putting Oncologists out of business." That one made me laugh like crazy.

Short answer? Trump was NEVER supposed to win the election. It was never supposed to happen. Trump is not part of the ruling establishment which is unified across government, academia, corporate and media. He threatens their power structure they have worked together for so many years to build. It's that simple.

My question - why does the orange ogre need to take every opportunity to bash minorities and take actions to further oppress them.

I know, as a HISPANIC/IMMIGRANT/BISEXUAL I suure should be happy for having an orange ogre that comes after me and my people, right? Not only that, he's turning the country into an AmeriKKKan nightmare for minorities everywhere. Hate crimes against us are up and continue to rise due to him inspiring his (to quote NYT) "beastly" base. Oh say can you see - this AmeriKKKan "dream."

F- that s**t.

You come after me and my people? I'm GONNA hit back.

Ain't nothing more American than that. If we didn't fight tyrants and went the way of the loyalists, we'd still be suffering under the ruling of good ol' King George.

-----

As per Trump and McCain... let's see the orange ogre went after him and criticized prisoners of war to the point that McCain didn't even want the ogre at his funeral (they're both REPUBLICAN government officials, so that right there is saying a lot by itself). Not only that, Trump went further in how he treated the death. That right there is news, whether right-wingers like that or not. If it bleeds, it leads - the orange ogre brought that onto himself.

Trump was horrible to McCain, said he liked people that don't get captured. So Trump deserves bashing in this context.

Well, the following story from last year is about a worm farm in Oklahoma, not Maine (sorry!), but the manipulator behind it still displays many of the known characteristics of Trump:

Agriculture's Darkest Fraud Hidden Under Dirt and Lies
Quote:
A Ponzi scheme is doomed because it inevitably runs out of victims, and Bradley knew B & B would topple in short time. “His endgame was to run until the pyramid collapsed and then hope he had enough explanations to hide behind. However, as a con-man, he may have just loved to prey on other people,” Delaplane says.

“Bradley was a smart liar right from the get-go,” Weyrick describes. “He had stories to cover everything from worm sales to big American businesses all the way to Africa. In the end, there was nothing he didn’t lie about.”

“I suspect he was a fraud from the start,” Faught echoes. “Con-men are usually inveterate sociopaths. They satisfy deep longings by taking people’s money. One thing I’ve seen in my career with con-men: Lying and cheating are stimulating habits that never change.”

“I believe Greg was a sociopath,” Slocum adds. “Worms or another means, he was going to take people’s money. He sucked in energy and accolades from the crowd and loved being loved. His lies turned to hell in a handbasket for everyone below. I think his plan, right from the beginning, was to bleed as much money as possible from growers, and then disappear.”

Image
Seemingly pulled from the pages of a Hollywood movie script, the bizarre B & B fraud is too absurd for fiction.

Still missing the point. I’m not a Trump supporter and I wasn’t an Obama supporter. So set that aside. The question was, why does everyone take every opportunity to bash a sitting president and ignore the topic at hand?

Real point - We know Russia messed with the election. We know Russia hacked our social media to affect change. But all I hear is the right saying Hilery gave Russia money and the left saying Trump has his hands in it. Blah blah chatter chatter. When the real issue is that Russia did this. Let’s fix that!

Just one of many things that get ignored while we all fight ourselves.

(1) I already told you why most of us minorities attack him. If you don't like the answer, that's on you. We're not just going to sit back and keep on getting hit - we know better than that.

(2) Yeah, I'm gonna say hell nah - considering the orange ogre and his "beastly" base is seeking to discriminate against, attack (hate crimes rising year to year since Trump started running), and oppress minorities like me. Working with them would be tantamount to suicide. In this country, there's an "us and them" - I've clearly been branded a "them."

Bash Trump all you want. I’ll join you. But why do it in the context of a thread honoring McCain? Honor McCain there. And why do it instead of trying to fix real problems? It’s all chatter and nothing gets done.

For us minorities - Trump inciting hate crimes by inspiring white supremacists IS a problem - a life and death problem. Not to mention all the governmental actions he's taken against minorities as well - that's a very, very real problem.

As per McCain, everyone already told you how and why Trump thrust himself into the middle of that narrative. The news' job is to report the whole story whether someone likes it or not. A sitting President is expected to respond, it's on Trump showing a lack of grace that it's so negative. If Trump showed even some humility, that'd be one thing - instead he threw a national temper tantrum, so that was all the news could report concerning how a sitting President reacted.

So what’s your defense for the far right who took every inappropriate opportunity to bash Obama? It’s ok that they did it? Are you still missing the point or just trying to push your political agenda?

We as a country are divided. I agree. The KKK violence with Trump is no different than the African American violence that went on during Obama. And as a white male who doesn’t support Trump I get racist treatment by minorities all the time. So you are not alone. Suck it up buttercup.

Keep telling yourself it's even remotely the same, man. Statistics even show it's leagues different.

Thanks for telling me all that we need to know about you.

Not only are you a clear apologist for vile scum, you also would have been a clear "loyalist" during the American Revolution -potentially a "Good German" to boot.

Also suck it up - F- TRUMP! (wow, people get really triggered by those attacking someone who isn't them).

That’s how the left does it. Attack anyone who disagrees with them Thank you for showing your true colors. So the point of the thread is still missed.

Dude, everyone can see you went for the personal "attacks" first. My last sentence was even a riff of your own post, lol. But, way to try to spin it like you're a victim, a classic trademark of the right.

Also:

F- TRUMP!

'Nuff said. I know, I know you're going to say "left plays victim too" - well statistically speaking, minorities are discriminated against the most as a community so the numbers are there on that one (I'm guessing "fake news" though lol). Since I can see where this is going, I'm going to return to do something more productive with my time. So, last reply on my end.

Which part was a personal attack?

As said, the last sentence is purely just repeating your own statement.

Yeah, hmm - you do know hate crimes and institutional discrimination is most frequently used against minorities, right? But, yeah - not a problem at all just "over reacting" with no actual dangers to be found (sarcasm). It's not like hate crime rates are at a peak. I wonder why one who isn't a minority would think that's a small matter.

As per loyalist and "good german" that's what you are man. You hold literally the same exact ideology that they did. Loyalists and Good Germans want their "leader" respected no matter who he was and what he did. Good Germans didn't like Hitler, no - many hated him, they just hated people attacking the leader more - like you do. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but this is the ideology you're expressing.

To be honest, I have more resect for right-wingers who do go after a Democrat President because at least they're not apathetic.

A better question is: Why does the president take every opportunity to say or do something that he can be bashed for?
Wijogr wrote:

Why not? Once he passes legislation to nationalize Facebook, the Internet, the Media, Twitter, et cetera, ordinary citizens like us will no longer have any means to express our contempt for the draft-dodging, racist, sexist, lying Demander-In-Chief.
