Kavanaugh says he's a "Renate alumnius" (sic)

Kavanaugh’s Yearbook Page Is ‘Horrible, Hurtful’ to a Woman It Named
Two of Judge Kavanaugh’s classmates say the mentions of Renate were part of the football players’ unsubstantiated boasting about their conquests.
“They were very disrespectful, at least verbally, with Renate,” said Sean Hagan, a Georgetown Prep student at the time, referring to Judge Kavanaugh and his teammates. “I can’t express how disgusted I am with them, then and now.”
Judge Kavanaugh’s peers have given different accounts of what he was like. But his yearbook provides a contemporaneous glimpse of the elite Catholic school’s hard-drinking atmosphere — Judge Kavanaugh’s personal page boasts, “100 kegs or bust” — and a culture that some describe as disrespectful to women.
This month, Renate Schroeder Dolphin joined 64 other women who, saying they knew Judge Kavanaugh during their high school years, signed a letter to the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is weighing Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination. The letter stated that “he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect.”
When Ms. Dolphin signed the Sept. 14 letter, she wasn’t aware of the “Renate” yearbook references on the pages of Judge Kavanaugh and his football teammates.
“I learned about these yearbook pages only a few days ago,” Ms. Dolphin said in a statement to The New York Times. “I don’t know what ‘Renate Alumnus’ actually means. I can’t begin to comprehend what goes through the minds of 17-year-old boys who write such things, but the insinuation is horrible, hurtful and simply untrue. I pray their daughters are never treated this way. I will have no further comment.” ...
[Kavanaugh's] page, in addition to the “Alumnius” entry, mentions his role as “treasurer” of the “Keg City Club.” ...
Bill Barbot, who was a freshman at Georgetown Prep when Judge Kavanaugh was a senior, said Judge Kavanaugh and his clique were part of the school’s “fratty” culture. “There was a lot of talk and presumably a lot of action about sexual conquest with girls,” Mr. Barbot said.
Ms. Dolphin was a subject of that braggadocio, according to Mr. Hagan and another classmate, who requested anonymity because he fears retribution. They said Judge Kavanaugh and his friends were seeking to memorialize their supposed conquests with the “Renate” yearbook references.

Michael Walsh, another Georgetown Prep alumnus, also listed himself on his personal yearbook page as a “Renate Alumnus.” Alongside some song lyrics, he included a short poem: “You need a date / and it’s getting late / so don’t hesitate / to call Renate.”
If Cosby goes to jail, then so should Kavanaugh.
If Kavanaugh gets pardoned, then so should Cosby.

Assuming Kavanaugh is guilty two wrongs do not make a right.

REPUBLICAN LISA MURKOWSKI SUGGESTS FBI INVESTIGATION TO CLEAR UP ALL THE QUESTIONS
Key Republican: FBI investigation into Kavanaugh would ‘clear up all the questions’
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a moderate Republican considered one of the few swing votes on Kavanaugh's nomination, defied her party's stance and suggested an FBI investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct
"It would sure clear up all the questions, wouldn't it?" Murkowski told CNN's Manu Raju.
I just asked Sen. Lisa Murkowski, key GOP swing vote, if there should be a full FBI investigation into allegations from Kavanaugh’s past. “It would sure clear up all the questions, wouldn’t it?” she said

Democrats' calls for an FBI investigation into allegations of sexual harassment have been refused by Republican senators and President Trump, who have claimed an investigation is not necessary.
"The FBI's involvement is required in order to identify and interview all witnesses, review documentary evidence, and provide its report to the Senate," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D, N.Y., and Judiciary Committee ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D, Calif., wrote a letter to President Trump. "It is not the FBI's job to determine credibility, but it is the FBI's job to gather facts. Regrettably, however, the FBI has thus far failed to act."
Murkowski, along with Maine Senator Susan Collins, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker and Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, are considered the only possible Republican swing votes on Kavanaugh's confirmation. Flake is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and a no vote by him would prevent Kavanaugh's nomination from being sent to the full Senate with a favorable recommendation.

Remember that Kavanaugh was not just a rich kid going to an elite private school, he was also a jock. Time and time again, those have been the douchebags guilty of sexual assault - something nerds and spas' are hardly ever guilty of. Betcha he was a bully, too.

Well, if I remember investigating correctly, Brett Kavanaugh's mom Was a Maryland Judge, which possibly could have been significant in him be able to get away with such crimes, though not entirely but, possible though. Personally, i don't care for people whom think they can buy their way through life and scenarios. Not just money am I speaking of, but rather being able to do things of an unethical & criminal nature and being able to get away with it to, somehow placing yourself on a pedestal of such like a Greek god. Well, I have news for such persons, I've dealt with those types and have knocked them off their pedestals without hesitation. In Mr. Kavanaugh's case, I hope rationality and an honorable sense of ethics here mind you take place to remove this cancerous malignancy from anywhere near a supreme court

Cosby has been sentenced to jail for his crimes.
Kavanaugh should be sent to jail, too.
If this does not happen, then it is blatant racism and a prime example of white privilege.

Cosby victims reported the incident(s) to the police.
These women are not.

Nice invalidation attempt there, but anyone who can follow the news - especially anyone who was different enough from the norm when young to attract negative attention from child-thugs and didn't *become one* in response - knows what Kraichgauer is saying and why. Steubenville, Brock Turner, Louisville, the list goes on. It's not monolithic, but then, what is?
Here's a better response, for future reference. http://www.greenvillegazette.com/p/115717/

And nothing was done when they did. And some of them waited 20 or more years to speak out. And in at least one case, when the woman reported it to her own mother immediately after the fact, Ma just sent her back for more, apparently thinking it could be a source of income, or something.
Why this compulsion to defend the indefensible?

On an autism website, It's ridiculous to make sterotypes about people.
This is what they do to ASD people.

On the subject of Cosby, now:
1. None of the allegations were taken seriously until another man, Hannibal Buress, called him out on it in the context of a *comedy routine* - in a passing comment. (I think it is extremely important that Mr. Buress is black, as this prevented Cosby-enablers from accusing him of racism. But it is discouraging that nothing was done until a male raised objections to the behavior).
2. The then-sitting PA SAG declined to prosecute when Andrea Constand first filed. There were two trials - *after a new SAG was elected by, in part, campaigning on this declination*. First one had a hung jury. Second one actually included detailed info on why women don't report, what happens when they do, etc. and resulted in a conviction. This conviction was not a slam-dunk. Many obstacles were thrown in its path, not least by those responsible to administer the law and enact justice. (So much for that.)
3. Victim impact statements from multiple other accusers were not presentable at sentencing under PA state law, but were publicly shared in a separate meeting. Read them. They *should* melt even a heart of stone, so long as there is any heart present.

I think the behavioral parallels between Camille Cosby and Dotty Sandusky also would benefit from journalistic consideration, later on. (Not to mention the current alleged rapey surgeon's alleged girlfriend accomplice.)

Cosby got his 3 to 10 years-----he's going to have it hard for maybe a few weeks or months, while they process him.
Then, he'll probably be placed in minimum security, which is pretty much dormitory-style living which is better than the dormitory-style living of medium security. I would be that he will be given a job at the prison library or something.
I doubt it that he will have it too bad after the initial processing.
He is a creep and a punk for resorting to drugging women. This is rape because they were not capable of consent because of the state which resulted from being drugged.
Hi Kraftie
You're absolutely right. It's really painful to see how much of this goes on, and how rare it is for anyone other than the victims to suffer any negative consequences.
I gotta run, darn it, I trashed the day yesterday and have to do two days' worth of running around today, so if I don't get offline now there will be trouble. But it's good to see you, despite the topic.
