FYI, there is a voicemail going around stating that Robert Morris, from the Internal Revenue Service will be filing an arrest warrant and lawsuit claiming fraudulent activity. I have received 3 of these calls since Wednesday 11/20/2018. The calls are from different areas of the country. The voicemail that was left is all computer generated. In addition, the phone numbers that appear on caller ID, and repeated in the voicemail come back as not in service. If you get a call from a number you do not recognize, DO NOT ANSWER! Once you receive the voicemail message, contact the IRS as well as the US Dept of the Treasury and file a complaint. In addition , file a complaint with your state’s Attorney General, as well as the attorney general in the state where the call came from. You also might want to contact your phone provider’s security department.

In short, it’s that time of year, when all the scammers come out of the woodwork.

Also, DONT PRESS "1" when it says, "Press 1 to be connected with one our agents".

I've gotten calls in the past about allegedly receiving an IRS payment - - all I'd have to do is give them my banking information. Apparently, someone is falling for this, otherwise I doubt they'd keep doing it.

I was getting the prison scam call, where they call you and tell you and say an inmate wants to talk to you.I don’t know anyone in prison so I first figured it was just a misdial by a prisoner, but they kept calling.It’s another scam where you don’t want to pick up and press any of the phone buttons, it redirects you and steals somehow.
Then the dish network scammers,your caller ID will show Dish, but it’s not them.This one I answered but got suspicious because they wanted to see if my DVR would take the new HD signal.That sounded fishy to me so when they asked for my DVR number I gave them the wrong one.They didn’t notice,Dish would have.So I hung up.Apparently they tell you you need a new DVR and ask for your credit card.
Then the Walmart shopping check, got one of those in the mail for $2,000. It suppose to be secret shopper money so you can rate Walmart. I knew it was fake because the postal mark on the envelope said Mexico.lol I live about 60 miles from Walmart corporate headquarters,the postal mark would have been Bentonville,Arkansas. If you deposit the check they can access your account, if the bank gets fooled and you cash it you will have to pay it back.The check looks real so probably has fooled many.
