I'm just thinking back on all the earlier outrage over this and the usual hackneyed accusations of racism.

There was no evidence she tried to get any advantage from thinking she was native American. Now there apparently is. You should be encouraged that we change our minds given new information.

And the term "Pocahontas" as an epithet is still racist.

Ironically, the real Pocahontas wasn't Cherokee.

It's probably inspired by the fictional versions of Pocahontas. If Warren were male it probably would have been "Tonto".

Why?

You tell me Jethro.

Is that a reference to dim-witted Jethro in the tv show "Beverly Hillbillies"?

So, you're calling ezras a dim-witted hillbilly?

I couldn't possibly! I love and respect all mountain people from the South!

You should have just supplied that when I asked why, instead of proffering a lot of gibberish.

Whatever cleverness you were trying to pull off, just isn't something that registers with autistic minds. So yeah, it's best if you're just straightforward instead of being condescendingly asinine.

Can't blame him, it's Hollywood that promotes propaganda against the South. It'd be like blaming a parrot for swearing.

I play Appalachian style banjo and folk music and grew up south of the Mason Dixon line. I can play the s**t out of the theme to the Beverly Hillbillies, written by Earl Scruggs.

Sure thing.

Xenophobia is kind of the Republican's thing. I wouldn't want to steal it.

Seems most anything called republican has been stolen, based on how many times I hear "they do it too" as a defense for the behavior of democrats.

That's also your go to defense, wouldn't want to steal that either. After all, if we all do the same thing, then why not vote for those who are honest about it? It's a cynical form of moral equivalency. But it's also not true.

By the way, the irony of calling me racist in my attempt to point out your racism was not lost on me.
