Damn! The world won't end for another three decades, now? Yeah, just keep moving end times forward. I am so frustrated!

That sort of "beginning of the end" I can actually believe is possible. Using Biblical numerology, not so much.

This is the problem with all the "sky is falling," scares over the last ~50 years or so.. bunch of BS made up to control people via fear. Now that things are really actually going to s**t and scientists have hard evidence of it and are sounding the alarms all the older generation are like "Meh, I heard this one before," and aren't taking this seriously at all.

We are straight up legit knocking on the f*****g door of the end of times for our entire species on this planet & hardly anyone seems to give a s**t at all. Either we change our ways very rapidly and some of us survive and humans continue on Earth.. or we all die.*

*Except for the few that hitch a ride on one of Elon Musk's rockets & go make an attempt at colonizing some different planets.

I think by 2048 the progression of technology will have done what climate change alarmists say needs to be done anyways. At least in N. America, Europe and Japan. Places like China and India need to catch up.

But of course the real solution to the apocalypse is an all democrat government.

I think you're wrong.

Scientists are telling us we f****d the planet so hard that we may no longer be able to inhabit it.. and we're watching various animal species go extinct every day. There's no magic bullet to fix all of this.

What sort of technology are you expecting to save us? Jurassic Park resurrection technology? Everything we brought to life would die from the toxic air & water, anyways. Even hypothetical GHG storage technology is still just a pipe dream that isn't very likely going to become reality soon enough to make a difference - if ever.

Why would you vote for all democrats when you could vote for environmentalists instead? Does the USA not have the equivalent of The Green Party in Canada? :?

I already stated the sort of technology the climate change model alarmists say needs to be utilized. Of course if it's already too late now then that's all moot.

What they're saying is it's too late to count on a magic bullet bit of technology to save us, but if we do everything we know we can do, then we have a fighting chance of our species perpetuating on this planet. But if we do nothing, or exacerbate, the problem.. then we are completely f****d.

Changing everything we power our modern world with asap. Eliminate/minimize fossil fuel burning. Clean up our messes all over the planet. Plant forests. etc.

We all know what we're supposed to do.. the problem is that we've put these decisions in the hands of corrupt government and business people who don't care about anything but making money.. and their decisions are killing us all.

I expect 21st century technology to replace the 20th century fossil fuel technology and the like.

And of course voting out the money making conservatives and replacing them with liberal saviours of humanity is necessary.

50 years ago they said we're f****d, but that was all BS and now the real s**t is we're all f****d 10 years from now, except now its more like 30 years from now, again..

For 20 years scientists were insisting taking aspirin daily would reduce or eliminate heart attacks and strokes. Now they're saying that's all BS.

And that's just one of umpteen times scientists have recently either made major revisions in their original insistent claims or done a complete 180.

Not fake, just current. And if the pattern continues, is likely to change again after a new batch of scietists draw different conclusions based on more sophisticated models.

This is one of the dumbest things you've ever posted.

Science is advanced as it's ever been and the only thing that tends to change with climate/environmental science is that they've overlooked something that's contributing to accelerating the problem(s) and causing serious issues a lot sooner than anticipated.

Unless you meant it may be reduced from 2048, vs. increased. Then perhaps it's not so dumb. But if in fact you meant it as I read it - that the projected date would be pushed out further, then yeah, dumb.

I was being sarcastic. <sarcasm>Geez, do I have to surround everything with html flags?</sarcasm>

I’m having enough issues getting spam calls from Social Security, IRS and FBI from all over the country regarding fraudulent activity! I know they’re spam because 1) SSA call would show up on my caller ID as their 800 number (and they report that even their 800 number is being spoofed by third parties), 2) IRS NEVER contacts by telephone. First Contact of issues are by Registered and Certified mail and 3) FBI will just show up on your doorstep with an arrest warrant. Don’t even get me started on outfits like Portfolio Recovery Systems, Midwest Recovery Systems, or Jefferson Capital!
