McConnell demands end to 'Groundhog Day spectacle' of ongoing Trump investigations.

The Senate majority leader called on Tuesday for lawmakers to "stop endlessly re-litigating a two-and-a-half-year-old election result."

By Geoff Bennett and Allan Smith
WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday that the investigation into Russian electoral interference and a possible Trump-Russia conspiracy is "case closed."

Speaking on the Senate floor, the Kentucky Republican issued a call to "finally end this ‘Groundhog Day’ spectacle, and to stop endlessly re-litigating a two-and-a-half-year-old election result, and move forward for the American people."

"This investigation went on for two years," McConnell said of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. "It’s finally over. Many Americans were waiting to see how their elected officials would respond."

The "Russian Boogeyman" is still out there.

Keep watching liberals programs to hear about new sightings.

I think Trump is selling the US out, trying to lower our position as a moral leader in global politics so he and people like him can exercise greater personal influence over US affairs, and Russia likes this, and Trump likes Russia because Putin and people like him are doing in Russia what Trump wants to do in the US. I think if they colluded too much, there'd be evidence of it and people could take action against them. They don't have to collude because they both know they want the same thing.

So I think Trump should be opposed, but I don't think there's this direct collusion people are trying to go after him for.

PS I think he keeps acting like there is (e.g. saying he doesn't want Mueller to testify) so that people will keep going after him looking for it and coming up with nothing.

Perhaps Trump thinks the democrats will bury themselves with this, so that's how he's playing it.
