What I remember is the moderator had to keep reiterating the warning because you kept defending what you did.

I didn't see the all the posts...it's not like I live here on WP

You saw the posts you were responding to in order to defend what you did.

I've heard a few years ago that Area 51 had been quietly shut down and moved to another Area due to all the public attention.

Word on the street is the attention on Area 51 following the Roswell crash mean't the back engineering on crashed spacecraft was moved to Area 52

Most everyone who lives near those places are not allowed to visit them. The best I know of that I could have managed while living in Las Vegas, NV would have been traveling 148 miles to the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, NV.

Then again one night I was in Area 2 while in a car that was dropping of an Airman there, but I should not talk about the hidden door I saw opening in the rock face.

You can still drive around the perimeter. I would put this on my bucket list to visit the outskirts of Area 51 at night time and visit the town of Rachel.

There is a certain thrill aspect in seeing the warning signs. Some take it as far as having the white SUV patrols start coming after them.

If you have not done so already you would probably enjoy flying over Area 51 using Google Earth 3D.

I doubt the Google camera vehicle has been allowed to drive around Area 51.

So just the aerial fly over, I imagine the NSA would ensure google didn't fly too close

I am sure the Area 51 staff know when satellites are flying over (either Russian spy satellites or those used by Google). So they know to park the flying saucers inside the garages, and to close the garage doors, while the satellites are overhead. :)

I think they took a leaf from the movie Prometheus where the alien spaceport was under the ground, no need for a runway when you can park your saucer like in a dishwasher

With Google Earth 3D you can go close to ground level. I flew inside the hangers. It is just a 3D projection of the structure so of course nothing is in there, but It is still pretty cool.

Here I found a video of it:

I wonder if google earth had to get special permission on particular day when the spacecraft were out on manouvres?

I was looking for anything interesting in the CGI flyover on youtube.

Here's another one I found
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWLEFsGWwHE

A few things parked in Area 51
Being 737s
Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopters
F16 jets

These craft come in on the runways that are easy to spot.

I think it's interesting the craft parked there seem quite standard to find in any US airforce base, almost like too generic in order to throw people of the scent.
